The fact that it is happening all at once in a wave for a large number of forum members, where there were zero forum deliveries or even dates/contracts before, suggests that there were close to zero third party deliveries before this. This feels like Rivian has flipped the switch and is finally - finally! - starting public deliveries in earnest.
100% correct. And shoots down all the "There are lots of deliveries happening but they're just not forum members" argument. Statistics wins again.

Same argument and same outcome on Guide contacts back in the day.

I'm VERY happy that real deliveries have begun!

In that last interview RJ did he said for several weeks they had 800+ employees out with Omicron. Makes it kinda hard to ramp up production with 20% of your workforce out. It does feel like they are making progress both in the factory and scheduling test drives, but they really should try to reach out to individual customers who are scheduled for delivery in the next few months. People are getting their pitchforks and lanterns ready...

Yes, seems like it is happening very quickly now. Guides are finally earning their paychecks. They might ask for raises soon saying "we were in photo shoots for a year saying -are you ready for an adventure ? We didn't sign up for this!"

saw a few comments about interior color choice (possibly) having impact on production likelihood. Did I miss this somewhere? I don't recall off-hand seeing employee's showing Ocean Coast but there are Forest Edges out in the wild, right? Or have all the shown employee vehicles had only the Black Mtn interior?

Well, my order is 6 months earlier than last guy to post a guide contact… both in California. CY OC vs LG BM… no contact yet obviously. In my case could be exterior or interior slowing it down… contemplating my life choices…

edit: might be wrong on location being same, hard to keep all the people getting contacted straight!

They've all been BM. I don't think anyone's seen FE or OC in the wild, other than a few pre-production units.

I got the call today, too! El Cap/Black Mountain LE, pre-order 11/26/2018. Should have the pre-purchase agreement in the next 48 hours. I got what seems to be the standard 4-6 weeks schedule as well. Exciting stuff! Looking forward to hearing more good news from all of you s00n too!
I talked to my guide this morning too and am on the same timeframe :)

Just got the call also - 4-6 weeks delivery estimate. Northern Michigan delivery. Can't wait!

@JEV any update on your Forest Edge March/April delivery?
No contact yet. I'm guessing they will do the FE and OC in batches.

I'll be traveling a lot by air in March, so I'm okay with a delivery in April. I'm close enough to the factory, so I can pick it up, if that's an option or they can just put it on a flatbed and deliver it. No waiting for transport across the country.

If we get into April and I haven't heard from them, I'll be more concerned.

Just got a call this morning from a Rivian Guide, have not previously spoken or been assigned a Guide so all new today . I'm a March/April and they mentioned delivery will be April/May likely.

June 2019 order in Los Angeles area.

Do we have a thread for everyone that has RECEIVED their trucks yet? I know when I got my brand new Honda Pilot which was also hard to get at the time, it was good to see people get them as most disappear off the forum cause they are having too much fun with their new car!

There's an Ocean Coast R1T service vehicle, but I have no idea when that one was produced.
