I wish my test drive had more pavement, mostly off road.

The best handling car I owned was an 87 vette until I bought the Tesla Model S, it does almost everything better and faster than the vette which is crazy for a 4 door sedan. Top speed was the only thing it did not beat.

I can’t wait to test the R1S when I get it, what little I could do on the test drive of the R1T it seemed to rival my brother in laws 09 ZR1.

My baseline is the Alfa so I'm really interested to see how it defies physics.

The problem might be due to your phone being in a standby or power saver mode, and the bluetooth only waking once the screen is on.
Yeah, that can't be how it's intended to work. Defeats the purpose if you have to tap the phone.

Is this where you are sleeping tonight so when you wake up, you'll realize it wasn't a dream?

Also, does it have a "Camp" style mode? I know, not the most practical in the T.
It does not.

I'm also interested in the ability to access 12v power, not the cigarette plug. I'll want to install a ham radio in mine when I get it for off-road comms. Likewise, power tap near the rearview mirror for a radar detector and/or dashcam. Though I hope the truck is capable of recording its own dashcam footage at some point.

Glad to hear you can turn off the heat/cool functionality and only use vent. My Chevy Spark EV had this, but my MINI EV does not, so I have to remember to turn off the HVAC if I open the windows.
How many watts is your radio drawing that you think the plug isn't enough? I haven't found the fuse panel yet, but I'm expecting 10-15A on that as a minimum... Then again, that's based on what I thought was appropriate building my sprinter ?

How is the acceleration and responsiveness in conserve mode? I figure lots of people will be using conserve on road trips and am wondering if it still has enough power with only the front motors active. I assume still much quicker than the ID4.

I’ve found any wireless charger that is big enough to touch the camera bump on a recent iPhone doesn’t work well. Dear apple, just make the damn phones 2mm thicker. And fill that space with battery.
Some of the leaked photos from the iPhone 14 show the bump maybe gone.

Have you tried to lower the tailgate while moving? Does it allow that?

Still "peppy" but it just feels so much slower after having more than double the power before pressing a button. I'm sure it's still faster than most vehicles of the line but I have reserved conserve mode for the freeway.

Never thought of trying and, honestly, don't think I'll add it to my to-do list now either. Sorry.

Red neck stuff - like gunning it to unload stuff - similar to pulling table cloth trick
I was thinking of unloading some drywall that way. Back up into drive way, put it in sport mode, lower the tail gate, punch it and voila! A perfect plan, what could go wrong?

How is the nav around town? Did not use it on my test drive.

Sorry, don’t you cave people use cases? There’s no camera bump if you use a case. :)
Owners, I would love to hear some feedback on R1T fit and finish. Specifically panel alignment, gaps between body panels, paint application and squeaks and rattles.

I‘m asking because I have pretty high expectations on a $80k vehicle.

Thanks all…
Haven’t you heard? It has the fit and finish of a car that costs roughly 20% more than that.
