Just wondering if you would be willing to make another set (paid for of course)? I am thinking of taking out the aero inserts and possible powder coating black (when i get my R1T), but would love a rivian insert for the center.
Am thinking abt black powder coat too. Was one reason I wanted to try these.

lemme see what I can do

I pulled together a simple cap design in Fusion 360.
Nice design! Thanks.

I'll have a R1T w 21" wheels someday, I guess after the Forest Edge leather plants mature..... With apologies, I modified the design so the compass was an insert I could print separately and do filament swaps to change colors. Friction fit, and added a small flange on the back of the insert so i could glue it in place also. Need to come up with clean way to add a bevel to the top of the compass that better mimics the Rivian design and is still printable, and improve the friction fit tolerance.

I used polyalchemy Lucid pearl PLA for the silver, has a metallic look, used a silk gold PLA for the yellow. PLA doesn't have great mechanicals, or UV resistance, but you can get about any color you want. So I will consider these disposable. Might make some with R1T or LE lettering on the inserts and try other colors. The prints here are draft versions, might clean up a little if I print in a higher quality mode, but prob won't change too much.

I "liked" your print on Thingiverse. I'm inclined to use Prusa's print library more these days, growing substantially, and works a lot better than thingiverse site.

Rivian R1T R1S Removing 21" wheel aero covers + 3d printed hub cap = clean, easy pieces

Rivian R1T R1S Removing 21" wheel aero covers + 3d printed hub cap = clean, easy back

Hopefully Rivian is “listening” and will offer something like this

I'll upload as a remix of the original to Thingiverse in a day or so, want to make some small adjustments/corrections before uploading

Just curious. How do you take the cap back out?

remove rim from car and push out from other side... every car is like that prevents people from stealing them.

there's been discussion of 10-15% improvement with 21"s over 20's + all-terrain and 5-10% over 22's. No data I know abt aero's only. . i've heard from others that Customer Svc says negligible, I'd agree. I'll try and do a range test next long trip with/without aero

May not be 100% comparable, but for Model 3, when Aero covers were removed, there was a 3.4% range impact. I think that's acceptable given that the 21's look way better with them off. Now if only Rivian could over a center hub cover it would be perfect; but I'm sure that there will be multiple 3rd party options available by the time I get my R1S sometime in '23!
