1) Is it true that none of the spare tires can carry over? If so, seems to confirm there are wheel shortages and they’re saving wheels to deliver trucks.

2) Does the bottom section imply the adventure gear carries over? That seems weird, if so.

Yes & yes. I also believe some wheels are in short supply, the 20" tires are not.

@M00v0vr it appears it’s the 21” tires are the ones not in short supply. Based on all screenshots and posts I’ve seen, almost every truck in the shop has 21” wheels.

Those accessories are shipped separately from the vehicle, so it makes sense that they're not coupled to the VIN you select.

Spare tire is part of the build and is shipped with the truck, so if you want a spare you must pick a VIN with one on the build sheet.

Thank you for pointing that out to everyone. While I agree that the shop is a huge leap forward for those that wish to take immediate delivery, I do not understand why anyone would purchase a vehicle with such unique wheel/tire combinations that did not include a spare. You are just asking for trouble.

You are correct, If you read the thread, I also stated that most of the trucks in the Shop had 21's.

The wheels, i.e. "rims" are in short supply, the tires are not. Welcome to supply chain constraints.

I totally agree and brought that up with the SC Mgr. He stated they have lots of spare tires, not so with rims.

If you have reason to talk to them again, would you mind asking about whether or not the tires all have the RIV ELECT markings stamped on the sidewall? There is a whole thread devoted this and it seems to matter.

I think I have progress to report on getting access to the R1 Shop!

I received an email a few minutes ago with the subject "Get an R1T Sooner" asking me to confirm my address. I clicked the confirm address button and received a response "We'll be in touch soon with next steps to continue your Rivian journey."

Maybe this is the R1 Shop process for those without a Guide?

No change in my graphql data yet though.

Checked today and below is my source code. Was put in touch with a guide almost 4 weeks ago. Matched immediately with a truck that was built but changed shortly after to one with different wheels which then caused me to be matched and unmatched to two other trucks. Lost the last match last Monday and then guides stopped being able to do the matching on their end so now I'm in purgatory till the shop comes around I suppose. No idea where my "state" or "configurationstatus" stands in line to taking delivery. I did notice "type" shows as "Vehicle" as opposed to others that have "Pre-order"

Figured I would use this truck in the short term to scratch my Rivian EV itch and trade it in later for an even longer range R1T when/if the 800v architecture update happens. Still have the R1S order hanging out there in 2H23 for wifey and this will help her decide if she want it or not. Now begins the waiting game for delivery. According to my guide the truck is in Normal ready to ship to my local SC.

All the trucks in the R1 Shop had 21" road wheels. Once the aftermarket wheels start to take off I'll swap them out. Might even powder coat them black for the time being. VIN is 6740.

Adventure Package, Large battery pack, Limestone, 21" Road wheel and tire, Black Mountain, Tow hooks, Powered tonneau cover, Cargo cross bars, All weather floor mats, Wall charger.
