First look at @ “Introducing the R1 Shop” -- Rivian website to shop for R1T that delivers in 6-8 weeks

I got info back from my guide and she said the underbody shield was not causing delays issues. I haven't seen many configs in the R1 Shop with underbody shield but maybe they are directing all of those to reservation holders. Anyway, good to know that this add on doesn't seem to be a delay issue currently.

Are you seeing more options in the shop for DFW area. I am still just seeing the same truck as yesterday (Blue/FE/20"AT Dark)?

they definitely should prioritize Shop access by order date, but if there is now no time limit and those folks dont pick a truck, wondering if that delays more people getting access to the Shop. hope it wouldn't but would suck if it does because i imagine most of them could be holding out for their exact config or their vehicle to be built.

My guide has told me it’s only for 2018-2019 preorders, but I’ve seen people on here with 2020-2021 preorders say they have access.

Could you call your guide and explain your situation to him? Ask why you can't view or take advantage of all the production trucks coming out of the factory?

From earlier posts, the R1 Shop is definitely different by delivery location (not the same view for everyone). I know Atlanta and Cali are seeing lots of configurations, DFW not so much. I don't know if that is because the VINs are already at the local delivery centers or just service capacity by area but this difference is by design.

Yep I completely agree. I definitely understand their strategy of wanting to give those super early preorder holders the chance to get a truck with a different config sooner, but I feel like a lot of those folks have their heart set on their config with no way to communicate that to Rivian.

She won't grant me Shop access, she's pretty confident that my truck will be build and ready to deliver in 4-8 week window, or much s00ner...8 Steps opened up already, she even got me a full size spare added back with no impact to delivery. Of course, all this happens when I'm no longer in a rush to get the Rivian, I just got a brand new Tacoma..
I'm sure many folks on here would love to be in my situation...

I'm 2020 in Atlanta and got access 3 weeks ago. I haven't heard of anyone from 2021/2 with access. Location is apparnelty also important.
