Very close to ordering a Defender 130 with the constant Rivian delays.

Missing aptera and the Alpha Motors cars.
I’m not sure that Alpha should be included. Great designs, but can they even make a real one that actually drives? Not my poll, but I kind of feel like the poll should be limited to actual production/working prototype vehicles for startups, with more leeway for established brands. If Alpha is included, some may want to include Atlis also.

R1S, Lightning, Silverado - R1S is a keeper, I'll either pass or flip the other two, depending on timing of deliveries.

Nothing like high quality CG paired with a computer generated voice reading a script to entice you. If it weren't for all the sketchy business stuff Alpha has going on, their designs are compelling enough (very 80's toyotaesque) I would enjoy driving one. If they ever became a reality.

They're producing gamma test cars. I think Aptera will likely make production but end up folding in a few years because they can't get profitable. I still think it would be fun to own, and simple enough of a vehicle that I could keep it running as long as it doesn't burn down.

I'm a physics major not a pollster (polestar;)....relying on posts to differentiate the how many...
wow, just a second, I'm an engineer, not a pollster either :). It just failed the experiment logic. I didn't know that you can see who voted for what until Dark-FX said so but it takes another step to find out.

BMW IX Drive50 (BMW committed a May 2023 delivery)
Tesla Model S LR (delivered)

Got the Model S to itch my scratch for a new car and the price has gone up since I ordered. I owned it for less than a month and it's kinda underwhelming for all the hype Tesla gets.

So, will have to wait and see if I like the Model S enough to wait for the R1S or get the iX when it becomes ready.

I ordered a Model Y that is supposed to be delivered in the next few weeks. I wasn’t planning on taking delivery, but the price is about $9k more now. I plan on driving it a couple of months and then sell It. I hope that owning the Tesla wil make the transition to my R1S next year easier since the tech is similar.
