They are outsourcing the registration process so any fines they should be able to recover from the vendor.What's even more nuts is that PA Attorney General reaching out to them because they didn't meet the state requirement on documentation submittal. That may have the potential of fines and making all future Rivian purchasers from the state do their own sale documentation. The man hours alone to respond are going to vastly exceed rental car fees.
What is even more, more nuts is the likelihood of my vehicle loan not being perfected in a reasonable time and transitioning to an unsecured loan at a MUCH higher interest rate. If that happens, I would absolutely lose my mind.
This experience has been absolute dog shit. I have a 80k truck sitting in my garage because Rivian (via their subcontractor) is incompetent. It's inexcusable.
Judging by the amount of posts about it here - this WILL likely happen to you.
If it comes to that I guess we will see how good their contracts legal team is.
