That looks bad for me getting R1S delivery anytime soon. I was hoping service would be coming from Normal so they would have to drive past me in Eastern Iowa to get to you guys. I am about the same distance from Normal as you are from KC. Maybe there will be enough delivered in Cedar Rapids and IC to get them to deliver to me in a rural area.

Their mobile tech van had issues on the drive. KC service center covers 6 states as well.

@F1shSkier , I'm down for that if it works out. My appt is supposed to be at 10am.
Mine is scheduled for 8-9am at my office - 1 Source Solar, 3020 SW Oralabor Rd., Ankeny.

I say everyone that is nearby show up that morning and we can have the Tech do a bunch. If you haven't made an appointment yet, call Rivian Service and tell them to do it on 10/18 at that address.

Mine was scheduled for 12-1 on 10/18, and I have to run kids to school in the morning so best case for me would be to swing by there around 8:30. Maybe I can do that, then they can use my other appointment time to look at the other items I have. The guy on the phone added them to the recall service ticket, but I don't know for sure if they were planning to address them at my appointment or not.

@NooterIA - I'm guessing the mobile tech called you this morning? Same for @LeDiable and I.

Not sure why I'm getting scheduled for 8am if the tech has to drive 3+ hours first. So I called the Service center and let them know how disappointed I am, and that they need to fix it.

I also had 2 other issues added to the same appointment, but when the tech called he said he couldn't do that because they hadn't ordered the parts. Again, I asked them why don't they have parts ready for these scheduled repairs... Don't schedule it if you can't be ready. I understand waiting to order big things until you diagnose, but if you have pictures showing missing bolts and the bolts are not that expensive, it seems like you're better off ordering a few extra bolts to take with rather than making a second 3+ hour trip in the future.

@F1shSkier, yep just got a text from Adrian that he's just leaving KC and will be here after lunchtime, even though the appointment was at 10am this morning. Ugh. Also, I had a few other things that need fixed and they said that this trip is all about the recall and I'd have to schedule another appointment for the other items (wind noise, clunking on start/stop, misaligned gear tunnel panel, missing bolts underneath)

Yeah, what a waste of a day. Drive 7 hours just to do 4 quick torque checks. No wonder my stock is staying so low!

Recall service completed quickly as expected.

He also looked at the other stuff I had but wasn't able to resolve everything. He replaced the 2 missing bolts on underbody panel near the front. The missing two at the rear are a different bolt which he only brought 4 of from KC, and had already put them all into someone else's truck (curse you, @F1shSkier). He didn't have the little clip/plug thing for my tailgate opening either. And he fixed the issue with my rear driver's side door where the grommet at the bottom kept getting pushed inward. I seem to recall @travbz814 also having this problem when I looked at his truck a few weeks ago in Ames at the Eco Fair EV show. Anyway, the "fix" was to smack the bolt on the door with a hammer a couple times. Fixed it, but... mildly unsettling.

Saturday I noticed the glossy black plastic trim piece that runs up the front edge of my driver's door window was loose, so I asked him what he thought about it. He checked it out, and I think he was able to get it clipped back into place, and perhaps I won't need another visit for that, time will tell. And maybe that will also fix what seemed like an excessive amount of wind noise coming from that A-pillar area.

Just some stats: 6 days on vacation, truck set to off in camp mode. Lost 12% battery, last few days have been cold and garage is not heated or attached.
