My estimated delivery changed since yesterday. It originally said, Jan-Dec, 2024, now it just says 2024. I guess that counts as my update.

February 2022 order date. I am pleased with estimated delivery date.

Good for you, but this is kind of crazy - we knew they would prioritize T, but there are people who have had S since 2018 that (unless they have a Rivian website) are in the mid 2023 range . . . .

There is no need to speculate why the R1S delivery is pushed back. Rivian communicated the following so far:
  1. R1s and T ramp is going good. All is good, sunshine and rainbows on the progress.
  2. There is no supply chain issue. In fact it is getting much better.
  3. Additional shifts being add at the factory
  4. Oct 28 update: delivery pushed back as Rivian is changing the build plan. Which means R1s no longer a priority. To make things worse, don't hold your breath for updated delayed estimates to hold. Rivian will update again in Jan.
Constant lies, bait and switch from Rivian for 3 straight years.
No excuses for this behavior. Never gaining my trust back again!
Agree 1000%, they clearly cheated R1S pre order holders. I have seen some R1T holders defending

1000% agree. This is ridiculous and unacceptable behavior from Rivian. No genuine reason can defend it, period.

Can someone share the ”communication from Rivian” where they stated they are prioritizing T over S? I completely understand S order holders feeling like that might be the case, but this point has been repeatedly posted in this thread without evidence. Did Tony say this specifically in his RS interview?

From the latest email:
" Your window has moved back due to an adjustment in our build plan"

All R1S pre-orders got new delayed delivery estimates. What else are they building? EDV is a separate production line. It says clearly "adjustments in build plan" not "supply chain issues ".

Come on! Does not take a genius to put 2 and 2 together!

I am definitely not a genius. But I am smart enough to not blow a simple statement out of proportion because I choose to be frustrated. It says “YOUR WINDOW”. Do you know for a fact that “ALL” R1S orders were pushed back? Or you say that because a handful of other S orders here got the same email as you? That’s absolutely not “ALL R1S owners.” The way it’s phrased makes me think it might be specific to certain configurations.

You seem impervious to any other idea than the one you keep repeating. You do you and have a great day :like:

Look at the poll.
Sure, keep your rose tinted glasses on!
Same can be said about

There you go again - making statements not supported by evidence. Seems to be a pattern with you. Your poll only consists of 266 votes, 18% of which saw no delay in their window. So again, it is NOT “ALL” R1S owners as you keep saying. The votes for 1-3 months can also be considered essentially within any margin of error. Yes, 4 weeks is a delay, but does it in any way support your case? No. Those 2 categories together account for 46% of the votes.

As I said, you do you….

Lol, projecting much? Neither of us has any evidence. But I am actually using a quote from Rivian.
They literally said my configuration was pushed back since their priority changed after stringing me along for 3 years. Same true for a lot of R1S pre-orders.

Your quote is evidence of nothing other than “your window” being delayed. The rest is just you standing on a street corner shouting at traffic.

Naw, that was not said in the interview. Some people are justifiably trying to figure out WTF happened this week, but the idea of a R1S production "freeze" is contradicted by the fact that people on this thread have already said they have delivery windows during the times people are claiming R1S production is "frozen" and there are those whose R1S windows were not pushed back and delayed further. The R1S delay poll hints at this, but the "how much of a delay are you seeing" is not also cross-referenced with all of the other things that matter (order date, LE/non-LE, interior/exterior color, location, youtuber status, relationship with Satan, etc.). Also, there were certain emails that went to some folks and not others, from which the key quote about "build plans" comes from. As to what that specifically means... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Someone knows, but they either aren't on this forum or are not liable to share proprietary information about Rivian's production plans with us yahoos.

I ordered mine over a year after @0=====0 and have the same new delivery window, so I feel how they could be justifiably salty about this latest update; they are danger close to the 4 year mark. I don't think they are wrong in being upset at this moment. Lord knows I've felt poopy about things over the last two years at times. And we all know Rivian has messed things up at times...

However, October '21 R1S pre-order holders who thought they were walking out of this with a Q1-Q2 '23 delivery date seems to indicate they haven't been paying attention and/or been an active member of this forum; that belies the absolutism of their statements. People are on here talking about being in the 4 year wait club and others who signed up on day 1 for an Adventure because Max Pack was a thing and now have neither Max Pack nor "prioritized delivery" - my empathy is abundant for both of those groups. I forget that sometimes myself...

@COdogman
Only 18% says no delay in this poll of 250 odd pre order holders.
