I believe both versions of the truck still have the same plastic panels under the frame rails. The reenforced underbody panels protect the stuff between the frame rails.

• You cant jack up on the running boards

Do the running boards prohibit one from changing a tire? Guess I don't understand the "Cant jack up on the running boards" comment.

What they mean is, the rock sliders are strong enough to support the weight of the whole vehicle (you can put a jack on the rock slider itself).

The running boards can only support the weight of people (they said 500lbs). However, neither version prevent access to the truck's normal jack points, so you can jack it up normally with either version.

This is great, and seeing that policy change in writing brought me ALMOST to the point of pre-ordering.

But since there's still no pics of both products with tech specs (like weights), I still cannot decide between running boards or sliders.

So I'm *STILL* on the fence about pre-ordering!

I hope the running boards come in pairs because I just put in my order. Also ordered a set of the magnetic jack pucks.

We also don’t know, with any manufacturer’s solution, if they play with those that have the $2000 Rivian Reinforced Underbody Shield (“RUS”) option.

Yes, the Team 1EV running boards and sliders are compatible with the Rivian RUS option (Reinforced Underbody Shield)

For the running board version, you still use your jack pucks. They work fine with the running board. What we meant was you should not try and jack up the truck 'on the running board'.

For the slider version, you can use jack pucks if you like, or you can jack up directly on the slider. It's strong enough to jack the truck up.

If you don't have jack pucks, can you still remove the access panel and access the frame / jack pin normally? In other words, if I take the truck into a shop to get work done, can they still jack it up if they don't own Rivian-specific jack pucks?
