I must be one of the lucky ones. Kareem has been awesome. <1 hour to respond to all my emails (I'm trying to not email him all the time), and was especially helpful when my bank made me add my wife to the purchase agreement after I had already gone through the 8 steps- he had to reopen some stuff to make it happen and was awesome.
Gosh, that has not been my experience at all. On our 1 phone call, they have been great and super friendly but the lack of response is frustrating especially for someone like me who is in sales and paid to be responsive!

Gosh, that has not been my experience at all. On our 1 phone call, they have been great and super friendly but the lack of response is frustrating especially for someone like me who is in sales and paid to be responsive!
Sorry about that. I'm only trying to email him when its been very necessary and not take up too much of his time cause I'm guessing he's busy. I have no more questions so now I wait until the truck is ready. I know what to do at this point. He was great, though.

My guide said they had switched back to truck delivery vs. rail. Now I'm not sure if that is the same for everyone, but that's what he told me.
Our guide said the same thing. We’re the Richmond, VA service center.

He’s my guide and he’s incredible. Like I said he actively found me a truck when I held off confirming my config based on multiple conversations. Now that 7 of 8 steps are done we’re texting about our weekend plans lol.

Is it normal for your guide to not know the method of transport for a vehicle that is "in transit?" My guide seems to never know anything about my vehicle...where it is, how it's coming, timeline, if there was any QC issues, etc. Did I get the only guide who is absolutely no help?
Same here. I wonder if we have the same guide. I am also in Dallas and in ghe same situation as you. I talked to Customer Service and they mentioned my guide is fairly new…so makes me wonder if my guide is not on top of things. His name is R****

It's not your fault but I think Rivian needs to drastically improve the guide experience or frankly not even have one at all until a VIN is actually assigned. If they can't deliver on the customer experience process or if your experience depends on who you get, why bother? It just has become more of a source of frustration than a benefit to me, unfortunately.

So with that said, how can I be traded to Kareem?!

My guide is Mark. He's been "sorta" responsive, but typically takes a couple texts and days to respond to questions.

Asked for shop access, got it today and selected one. Need to finish the 8 steps, but vehicle is already at my SC ready for delivery.

Nice! What did you select? We’re both in Pasadena maybe we’ll get delivery on the same day haha.

Ended up deviating slightly from my signature specs, ended up going 21” and FE interior (no tonneau either). This was one of my original configs that I switched back and forth between. Planning on going aftermarket at some point for rims and AT tires. Just going through my 8 steps

What was yours and when you taking delivery? Are they still driving out and delivery to residences or are you scheduled to pick up in El Segundo?

my truck i'm getting is in my sig-- the one i had configured had FE and dark 20's, but the powered cover was more important to me. the truck i'm getting was pretty much my day one configuration but this one has an underbody shield for some reason. makes me think someone meant to order 20's but made a mistake lol.

i'm don with the 7 steps but don't have the delivery scheduled yet. i assume they still bring it to your house.

I have the exact same build and after confirming configuration then having a guide assigned on 11/11, it’s been crickets.

I definitely don't want to bash the guides! As someone whose workload has gone way up in the past 3 years just because hiring is still difficult, I completely appreciated the extra work they now have to do.

Yes the system needs to improve but I like this 100% more than going to a dealer.

Every time I see a dealer markup I’m glad I get to buy directly from Rivian.
