Hey gang, thanks for all the feedback - Rivian Nation is the best! We are working very hard to finish and ship all these running boards and sliders; as promised, we are prioritizing the product design and quality over rushing to ship (we made a few revisions to the designs and bracketry which improved the overall product, everyone benefits here - feedback has been invaluable and voices heard!) - we did deliver the first few in December, did installs and made sure we're covering all bases before the masses. Production parts are underway!

The email update is a great idea, appreciate that suggestion - we will email all reso holders with an update in early January, with updates and pics! Thanks again for the support (and patience!). All pre-order customers earned introductory pricing free shipping and a place in line - that will not last, will turn off free ship this week, pre-orders are locked in!

I plan to order / pre-order once some of this is more finalized and we get finalized pictures of the product. $799 is a good chunk of change for side steps. Hopefully those pictures come before they remove the free shipping.

Plastic panels can still be modified and reused, yes? Are those real pictures or CAD renderings? Looks like CAD images. Looking forward to additional information, including real production photos/vids, etc. Thanks.

So, all that bracketed hardware, and bolds, fit under the slightly modified plastic panels, as you shared prior to the holiday???

Edit: For aero and noise, why not have the "bracket to board" bolts pan head be in the front, rather than having the bolt shaft, washer and nuts facing forward? Maybe they are reversible?

Yes for sure!

Option 1 - take off the 6 plastic panels (3 per side) and leave them off.
Option 2 - modify the plastic panels for clearance to our brackets and re-install them

What does modification look like? It is MINOR trimming. We will at least provide the template, and you can easily DIY with snips, razor, or hd scissors. Pics coming....

Reinstalled, they fit nicely - we designed specifically to allow these to be re-installed with minimal mods.

yes and yes...coming.

Is there any concern with noise from vibration with the cantilevered portion that appears to touch on the frame inboard of the bolt connection?

I would believe there would be enough tolerance in your bends that they may not always be in intimate contact with the frame which would introduce an area for rattle or buzzing.

I would believe there would be enough tolerance in your bends that they may not always be in intimate contact with the frame which would introduce an area for rattle or buzzing.

No concern at all, that is an interference fit by design - there is zero buzzing. These are super rigid. Much more solid than any other running boards we've tested on F150s.
