This is a fairly complex load system, not something we just winged - factors the Rivian frame as well. We achieved proper load rating and rigidity with our 4 bracket design. The load is more properly spread across the frame. Using less brackets, like 2 or 3, puts too much load on the Rivian subframe - the subframe is not strong enough. So you can make the bracket a full square tube, but it won't matter or help, because the Rivian frame attachment point is weaker. There is no gain from adding a second side to the bracket; as it is, the Rivian frame bends before our brackets. Make sense?
Thanks for the reply. I see what you are saying, hope you see load ratings and rigidity test videos when completed!
