Not much new information, but they provide an interesting conceptual rendering of their own - not a Rivian design leak.

That R2S render looks great, especially the rear end 😍

I like the one labeled ”7/8”. Not so much the one labeled “10/10”.

The small truck (10/10) may be a challenge given the need for a reasonable length bed. I would assume the frunk gets shrunk down and space efficiency improves.

Yeah, a bed that small makes zero sense to me. Just enclose it and use a hatch. I think the R2 will be quite a bit smaller than the R1, but who knows?

Remember the Subaru Brat with the marginally useful bed?

Oh I DEFINITELY remember the Brat And it’s amazing unprotected jump seats. Stupid government and their desire to stop people from being crushed in rollover accidents😌

something Bronco sized would be good. This rendering seems a bit like one of those lower level land rover products.

Is it me or does that light bar round the front look a little thinner? I like that. The front has a slightly angrier looking 'face'.

As others have said, Bronco/Macan size would be perfect and make this one relatively 'simple' - no fancy sh!t that can go wrong.

Seeing as I want to get my wife an R2S, I'd be happy if it looks anything like that render.

However, seeing as the R2 line is looking to be more economical, that render is likely not realistic as it looks at least as nice as an R1S...

Yeah this one looks good. I don't need such a big vehicle for my #2 if I have an R1 for my main vehicle.

I'm still going to be surprised if there is a smaller R2T. I think the R1 is already pushing the lower bounds of what constitutes as a useful 'truck'. Going even smaller, especially if that means a shorter bed, would render it basically useless for anything truly 'truck'-y.

I could see them dropping the back half of the cab to shorten the length but keeping the same bed. That could make some sense, but in reality, the only people looking for 2 seater trucks are fleets and work truck users, and I'm not sure many of them would want something so small.

I think the small Ford and Hyundai pick ups were significantly more successful than expected. If other manufacturers chase the same segment, it will be interesting to see whether Ford and Hyundai’s success was due to playing in the blue ocean or if it’s a new trend.
