Any changes to Rivian Blue paint formulation?

After an almost 4 1/2 year wait, we are taking delivery of our R1T at the Factory next Wednesday (04/26). We have been looking at photos of these vehicles for a long time. The Rivian Blue vehicles sometimes look very different in these pictures. We are writing it off to lighting situations. We are assuming that Rivian has not made changes to their blue paint.

That is correct. Rivian seems to take pride in this color shifting. Personally, it's one of the few things about Rivian I'm really not a fan of.

Normal blue in shade, baby blue in morning sun conditions, and turquoise hues in direct/midday sun. Amazing color.

I do like the color shifting of some of Rivian’s colors. I don’t really like it on the blue. The blue looks better in photos than in person to me.

I like the way the colors change so much but I do have to say first time I saw one in person it was overcast and the were a dark blue. I like the way it looks in the pictures in the sun much better. My wife was the opposite she liked the fact it was darker and not "Hey look at me!" all the time.

2 weeks in on my blue R1S. I love how it's different in different lighting conditions - it's a great color. Nothing but good comments from everybody who sees it. Several (honestly, like 4) people who have reservations and have talked to me about the vehicle are now re-considering their non-blue color choice.

If I could choose rivian blue again, I would do it the next ten times. Prettiest vehicle I've owned. Looks great and does change colors based on sun.

I was hesitant about blue until I saw it in person. That sealed the deal for me. Best color Rivian offers in my opinion! This is from a guy who was always a black vehicle kind of guy. It is such a pretty color and I love when the turquoise hues come out. I walk slower to get to my vehicle to appreciate it more.

I was a huge fan of the blue, but I went to a service center to see it and I felt like it was a much darker color in person than in pictures and video. That being said I live in dreary Chicago, so maybe that's the reason.

I love my blue R1T, but I had a brief moment of disappointment the first time I saw the color shifting on a red one. What a beauty! The only thing keeping me from having lasting regret is that I wanted a less flashy vehicle than my former red Tesla S. I'm very happy with my compromise.

I had a RB R1T loaner that was amazing. I would have considered that color if it wasn’t close to our company color at work.

You will not regret this color choice at all.

I think we share the exact same sentiments. Love my Rivian Blue, ordered Red Canyon for my second Rivian because I love that color, too - and used to have a Signature Red Model S (as well as a Very Orange original Tesla Roadster).

Having seen all the colors in person on multiple occasions, I think they missed the mark on the blue (too flat, too light) and the red (too orange/salmon; they should've gone with something like the Tesla Ultra Red).
I love blue as a color so much so that I ordered my Model S with a custom color back in 2012 when that was an option (before it was promptly discontinued). I was excited to see the first pictures of Rivian Blue and configured my R1S with RB. But then I saw it in person and switched to silver, which to me looks classier. I think bold colors like the blue look better on the R1T.

I'd choose Rivian Blue again if I had to spec my car again, looks great. Love the color shift from day to night
