The other day my truck thought it came out of kneel mode, display said it was at standard height already, but still popped up a warning about the truck raising and don't drive to prevent damage. The message was a solid 10 seconds after clicking into reverse. Don't have to wonder what damage could happen anymore as I didn't even get out of my driveway before hearing some noises. The passenger tire was starting to pull the trim piece off. I was able to just pop it back together but I imagine actually driving more than a few feet like this could've lead to it being ripped entirely off the truck.

I just have the stock 22" wheels and tires on. Guessing 20s would have been worse.

My truck is in the service center today for mis-aligned suspension, especially in kneel mode. The front drivers side drops literally below the wheel well vs. the other 3 tires. They are optimistic it just needs to be recalibrated.

I switched suspension heights manually after that and back and it seems fine since. The only thing I did unusual was creeping really slowly because my parking area was slightly obstructed.

Huh? Kneel mode height caused damage?

I think the truck lets the suspension continue to sink over time while kneel is active. It doesn't seem to automatically adjust until after put into drive or reverse.

I have 22" wheels and had a leak in the suspension. They replaced the front air struts because of that. Even with the leak, the vehicle never dropped low enough to rub on the trim. I thought there may have been some stoppers to bottom out on? I would definitely get this serviced because it shouldn't be possible for the vehicle to drop to a level that causes damage.

Stoppers are integral to the suspension damper.

I wish we had the option of regular springs. I'd take it in a heart beat.
uh... what? having the air suspension is one of the reasons TO buy a Rivian... that makes no sense.

Said every Land Rover owner... Until we changed out blown bags around 100k miles.

I stopped using kneel a month back after a similar warning and accidently bottoming out at the cabin.

My R1T also occasionally bottoms out in Kneel mode and slow to come out of it. Sometimes it looks like a slammed low rider, sinking way below the fender line. I think it's software issues and hardware tolerance combine. I stopped using that mode all together

I kind of want to try kneel mode now to drop it to a super low stance and give it a pro street look. Obviously not drive it like that though.
