Unfortunate....I'm sure an OTA will fix it.

I think they used to have issues with roof and lift gate leaks more commonly with early builds. Is yours a newer VIN or older one?

Sorry, 7PDSGABA7PN005xxx
All good mate, just teaching ya the ropes of the forum. We all speak in 5xxx or 9xxx around these parts hahaha
That being said, I'm picking up a 10xxx R1S in a few weeks (in transit), just to give you comparison on VIN number that is currently being output.

Was a roof seal issue, not completely adhered in one spot. Only came to light under the higher pressure of a car wash and dry. Got an immediate appointment and fixed in 3 days. Not ideal but not awful. Bears watching for others.

Oh man. This exact same thing just happened to me in my R1T! Glad I saw this thread. Can you share any more about where specifically the seal was that wasn't good?

I should mention - wasn't in a car wash but my truck was sitting on the driveway all night and it was raining.

Rivian R1T R1S R1S roof leak? IMG_7033

R1S, 8k miles and I’ve been through car washes, plenty of rainstorms, and the occasional trip through the swamp. I just had my first water leak. After the car sat in a big rainstorm for a couple of hours, on a slight slope in a parking lot (front lower than the rear) I jumped in the car to head home, and right as I pressed on the brake water started streaming out of the plastic trim piece that houses the hazard light switch and the driver camera. There was definitely not a leak during the rainstorm- this didn’t show up until I got into the vehicle and hit the brake pedal. Upon driving, more water trickled out when I hit the brakes (letting water run to the front). I had my windshield replaced several months ago under warranty, I have no idea what this is. Photos and videos uploaded to Rivian Service tonight. Hopefully this is a seal/trim issue like the OP and service can fix this without having to replace the windshield. We’ll see!

Holy cow! That is terrible!! Very similar to what happened to me. They replaced the body panel between the roof glass and the windshield on my R1T (I think they called it the 'forehead').
