Las Vegas NV is now showing in the Rivian app. ??

edit: two minutes later and it’s not showing anymore. Hopefully it wasn’t a glitch and it’s open. Here’s the Google Map coordinates linked within my app when it was originally showing:

Yeeehaww!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU RIVIAN! Just in time. I am stoked to use the Las Vegas charger in about two weeks for a 4-day offroading trip in the desert.

5 days left in the quarter, counting today, and they're on a slower pace this quarter than last. They added 18 stations (going from 20 to 38) in Q2. So far they've added just 13 (38 to 51) in Q3. I wonder if they're still part constrained on the chargers or if this is kind of the pace they want to maintain for now.

Thanks for the quarterly update. I wouldn’t think chargers are the limiting factor given that back in 2021 they had planned for 3600 chargers to be needed by end of 2023 and should have ordered appropriately. Given the rate they have opened we are talking about less than 100 chargers needed this quarter (less than 8 a week). I would hope they can make more than that.

What they need to do is add a RAN station in Beaty or Tonopah. They add it there, we could make it all the way to Vegas. I know Tonopah has 10 Tesla stations and I believe there is 1 CCS1 station a 1/2 mile up the road.

Nice. That puts us back up to 25 "coming soon" after the list had been chipped away over the last month or so. I wish that were next 3 months, but I suspect it's more like next 6. Some will be done sooner than 6 months, and some others not currently on there might show up on "soon" and be finished inside of 6 months from today, but I want to see them open up way more than 12-18 each quarter. At that rate it's going to be a while before they hit 600.

Benton harbor worked great for us to visit Chicago. I think Rivian is trying to avoid chargers in big metro areas in general right now.

Yeah but GR was on their original RAN map. I'd take Cadillac instead, though. I need to get from Chicago up to north of Traverse City, a few times a year.
