Rivian App 2.4.0 available

Who is the shortcuts expert here? Would love to have one shortcut that does lock and unlock based off the current lock status.

Hmmm. The last few App updates apparently are not download-able on my older, but still supported iPhone SE IOS 15.7.9.

If any Rivian techs are watching this thread, can you please explain why?

Not a Rivian tech but a mobile SW person. Likely now iOS17 is out they dropped support for iOS15. Less variations for QA to test.

Many companies only support the most recent and previous OS version for this reason.

Does iPhone SE support iOS16 or 17?

I would love to see a iWatch app or at least be able to use that to open the door instead of the phone. A lot of times I will have to take the phone out of my pocket (NOT COMPLAINING, just an observation).

Exactly. I would suggest that person start a new thread about the tonneau cover not being fixed....like probably the 100s that are already there. They don't realize that the tonneau cover is a mechanical issue, not a software issue.

This reminds me of the posts I read after the Halloween update. People were saying "They are wasting their time on this useless update instead of fixing XYZ". These people have no sense of ADVENTURE

f Rivian and their new tech. The whole entire company should be working on my tonneau. That makes sense and will get the poster a lot of sympathy.

I see the new lock/unlock toggle but not the open/closed status screen. Does the vehicle need to be awake to see door/status?

Edit: works now. restarted the app and woke the truck.

You can create shortcuts for your watch the same way you do for your phone.

I'm on 2.4.0 app and .38 in the truck. Just went through a car wash this morning. Didn't notice anything different. Shame I didn't see this post a few hours sooner.

Also, no new widgets in Android. #sadface

You must have missed the post where he said the REASON he was complaining about his cover was because with the latest app update his app now permanently shows something (the cover) as being open. So he will always have a warning that something is unlocked, thus making the warning useless for him because he has no way of knowing if it is just the cover causing the notification, or something else actually open.
IMO, a very reasonable thing to complain about.

Drag the main screen down and it shows what is open.

FYI - I noticed my phone would not finish downloading and upgrading the Rivian Phone app unless I fully closed out of the app first (iOS). So I shut down the app completely and it immediately finished downloading and completed installation.
