Alright. Did everything required to make the car sleep (bluetooth off, apps closed, key far away in a metal box) and after and hour can confirm it did nothing to help. Not surprised, but worth a try.

Very much depends on the circumstances, but I could see one or more jobs being lost as a resonable outcome here.
