Here is what I, from way up North, got from Rivian.
I'll take it as good news...

I'll make arrangements to see what it implies.

I think there might be hope for other provinces.

We are unable to give you a delivery window estimate at this time, because your delivery address is just outside the radius of a nearby Service Center.

We know this isn’t the news you wanted to hear, but you do have the option to still take delivery.

Rivian is now offering some customers who do not live near a Rivian Service Center the option to purchase and take delivery of their R1S. If you’re interested in taking delivery, please contact us and a Rivian sales specialist will reach out in the coming weeks to discuss configuration options and next steps."

Sounds like great news if you are an R1S preorder holder. Not so much, for us R1T preorder holder who have been waiting for almost 5 years.

I plan to defer as long as they let me, though, so someone will be moving up!

The only reason they mention the R1S specifically in that e-mail is because that's what I ordered. I'm 100% sure it also applies to the R1T because, as Wing mentioned, they have an oversupply of R1Ts, and they're giving away freebies for R1T orders over in the US.

(Only R1T orders are getting free wall chargers and $2000 for installation.)

My business partner also has an R1S preorder with a Dec-Jan January delivery, 2020 preorder.

Just got update - My estimated delivery window just slipped from Jan-Feb to Feb-March for R1T. Preordered Feb 2019. Argh.

Ive have a R1S reservation from JUNE 2022 and have not yet been invited to configure. Anyone have advice on when I’ll be invited to configure? Everyone else here seems to have delivery windows… And I’m jealous! With the new service centre opening, I was hoping to get some sort of progress.

Interesting it seems they are shipping more S's to Canada than T's. Maybe our trucks will hold value better as a result!
