Damn… I watched this and that’s some of the weirdest fanboy sh** I’ve ever seen. Why would anyone invest their valuable, limited life time to make something like this just because they “like a brand?”…
TFW you find out it was a kid's side project.

With a 123kwh pack, 320 Elon miles, no place for a spare, worse drag coefficient, finger prints & scratches(will need a wrap).
Yes it certainly has some advantages but the above, range & price(Rivian honoured), are/were not advantages.
Oh and the Rivian is available.

CT misses:
-Range(towing needs, huge miss)
-Price
-Availability
-Aesthetic (debatable)
-Gate ramp
-That wiper
So long as we don’t consider all the important stuff, the CT totally nailed it. Have you heard the fart noises Teslas can make? Take my money!

CT fans are bragging about the 48v system, but they probably only used it to power that wiper. 3 swipes and a regular 12v battery would be at 0%.

That video is entertainingly funny, even if it is pure fantasy with no basis in physics or the real world.

I think it took significant time to produce and probably the biggest real-world take-away is that certain people feel really threatened by the release of Cybertruck.

I don't know why it has to be an "us" vs. "them" mentality as the real products being displaced by both the R1T and the Cybertruck are ICE trucks and SUVs, not other EV's which will continue to grow market share. The cartoon would have been even more impactful if the rock climbers' truck at the end was an ICE truck but, obviously, the producers felt more threatened by Tesla, or perhaps they were ICE interests trying to pit Rivian against Tesla or trying to build upon the narrative that the Cybertruck is a clown car.

Obviously, because they feel threatened in some way, and want to do something about it.

I'm not sure if it's a Rivian fan or ICE interests that feel more threatened since Cybertruck has potential to ramp to huge numbers over the next three years and they want to do everything they can to make sure that doesn't happen.

To be clear, the dual motor Cybertruck has an est. range of 340 miles and will outsell the Cyberbeast by 6 to 1 or more, once the dust settles.

I will say there are some pretty valuable Cybertruck use cases out there

  1. When you need to haul very specifically sized 4x6 items
  2. When your daily route requires you to race a Porsche 911 while towing a Porsche 911
  3. When you regularly have to go into a war zone. Just make sure they don't hit the tires though since you can't easily carry a spare and have no air compressor
  4. When you have a need to pay 12k so your truck can run stop signs on it's own and try to run you into parked cars
  5. When you are so sure you know where you headed that the damn rear view mirror gets in the way of your progress by letting you see behind you
  6. When you have a deep internal desire to brag about the size of.... Your wiper
  7. Most importantly... When you have a need to spend 100k in the hopes that Daddy Elon might retweet one of your 30,000 posts about your cybertruck!

The snow scruncher?
People who project poor snow clearing for the Big Ass Wiper are not thinking rationally. As a snow skier, I've been fighting wipers and snow/ice in the morning for over 40 years. The biggest problem with conventional wipers that hide in a little recess between the hood and windscreen is that the wipers naturally pack snow into that recess, there is nowhere for the snow and ice to go, it gets "scrunched" into that recess at the bottom of the windshield.

Conversely, the Big Ass Wiper has a smooth planar surface that slopes down to the ground in front of the vehicle. With the wiper parking in the "up" position, the first swipe will propel the snow down towards the ground. Remember, snow and ice is heavy and glaciers slide downhill due to gravity. Having a smooth planar ramp that can clear the entire front of the truck in one swipe is a nice advantage. No more snow "scrunched" into a difficult to clean recess (that usually doubles as the air intake for defrosting purposes). Not cleaning the snow that packs into that recess can increase fogging on the inside of the windshield by increasing humidity of the intake air for the cabin.

It was made by a teenager who I highly doubt is threatened by much more than someone taking away his Xbox and being grounded by his parents.

Shhh no. That teen obviously has existential doubt and jealousy of anyone that was cool enough to give Tesla money
