Well folks, Operation R1T Stump Pull 1.0 was such a success, I decided to go for round 2 on an adjacent stump (clearing an area for a much needed shed). Same setup as last time, except 2 minor differences:
1. Used a moving blanket on the chain as suggested by others (I don't think it was necessary)
2. Presoaked the soil around the base of the tree for about 8 hours (no digging or cutting of roots)
My trusty Superintendent showed up after to inspect my work. He seemed to approve of the hole left behind.
