Hello! We picked up our 2025 R1S on 6/29 and have experienced a multitude of issues that have not been addressed by Rivian and hoping to get some insights here.

Issue #1: the battery drains an average of 10% per day sitting on the driveway. Anyone else experience that?

Issue #2: proximity is off and the car still unlocks itself randomly. I had to turn off bluetooth on my phone.

Issue #3: There is no audio since this past Friday. No radio, navigation sound, turn signal sound - nothing. No sound.

We have tried multiple resets on the car and none of the issues have been fixed. Rivian customer service is the worst - still waiting for responses. What is the point in investing in a pricey car if I have to turn off the functionality? Super frustrated and would appreciate any insights or similar experiences.

Kind of uncharted waters here. Rivian changed the way the phatom drain works on gen2. Not a lot if information on it yet. Do you have Gear Guard turned on?

I did see someone else report some kind of issue with phone key, but it wasn't a random unlock issue. Are you using the key in Apple Wallet/Google Wallet? Or just the rivian app

Every feature that I can turn off has been turned off. We are just using the Rivian app - a google phone and an iphone.

I am searching every similar thread on this forum to hopefully get some insights.

#1 My experience has been very different on this. Last 3 days that I left the car in the garage - it lost 6 miles from 205 to 199. That's about 2%. Is the AC on by any chance?

#2 It's a minor nuisance for us as well... every time someone goes to the garage with their phone it wakes up and unlocks.

#3 Have you tried the full reset? I had a similar problem where the indicators / brake lights stopped working as well. Only after a full reset it was operational. Soft reset didn't help in this case.

I haven't seen a solid answer on this but Gen 2 has a new UWB key function. It seems that maybe this isn't active yet? But the gist is that standard phone key uses bluetooth and it's just part of the rivian app. This is the same method Gen 1 uses. UWB is puts a key into apple wallet for iPhone and Google Wallet for Pixel devices. This uses UWB instead of bluetooth and is supposed ot be MUCH more reliable than blueooth, and better at judging proximity. Plus it'll work even when the phone has died. But again, I can't tell if this is live now, or if it's coming in a later software update

Rivian support walked us through multiple full resets with no luck. Waiting for a service date as they are backed up in CA till October.

I know the new LFP batteries should be calibrated to get accurate readings. Charge to 100% and deplete to near zero. Not sure if that process has anything to do with it
Is that the process for calibration? When we got the message to charge to 100%, we did that, but have not depleted to 0. The range is also not accurate. I came home on Friday and it stated 168mi and once i parked and came back to the car a few hours later it said 146mi. Cant explain why the drop.

For #1, do you have a child seat or dog buckle harness plugged in? Those will keep the rig on if clicked in. Got me good a couple times I've forgotten to unplug and came out to a much lower SoC than expected.
Interesting call out, but nothing plugged in.

October o_O If full reset didn't work then it might be a hardware issue with the infotainment system... hoping it's a rare early failure

Yeah the depletion to near 0 should be done to reach the battery/software how much range it really has. The calibration process is one of the drawbacks to lfp
