I’ve had my R1s for less than 3 months. Within 2 weeks of receiving the vehicle I try to make a service request cause it pulls to the right quite a bit, the AC wasn’t working and there was some type of discharge coming out near the rear camera.

Anyways, it took me about 4 weeks to finally book get an appoint and now 2 days before I get an email with an estimate for the service cost.

Call customer Service and they said I need to get hold of the Service Center. There’s no direct way to get hold of the Service Centers/they never call you back.

Anyone got any ideas on who to talk to?

Finding it hard to figure out why I have to pay to service a vehicle for issues that I reported with less then a month of ownership.

They almost always send you an estimate even if it’s covered under warranty. I understand wanting to know ahead of time, but I wouldn’t stress about it unless there is a chance they say one of those requests was your fault, which is unlikely… If you live close enough just go to the service center during business hours and ask someone.

I have a T so I don’t have a rear window cleaner, but others have asked about the discharge here in the forum and every time it has just been leaking from that spray nozzle. Is it possible you might be looking at that and not your rear camera?

Read up on the rear camera washer here.

Good luck with AC.

Thank you, that’s exactly the type of insight I needed. I’ll just bring it in and see how it goes.

It will be fine. The service writers sometimes make a mistake and mark it as customer pay. Happened to me once. You can send the service center a message in the Rivian app.

Under service, tap "Get in Touch" and then tap "message service center"
