You and me both! I am not looking for studio accuracy. I learned along time ago that I grew up with ground shaking bass and cymbals that sing. I simply tune all audio systems to what I like to hear. While I certainly appreciate that there is an "accurate" way to do this.....after I have had that done a few times....I just abandoned it anyway because I know what my ears find pleasing.I’ve always found that the classic “V” configuration in my equalizer settings gives me the elevated bass, treble and lowered midrange that suits my ear. And while this migh5 be considered wrong by audiophiles, it suits my ear. To each their own.
And what is interesting.....is I go to many live concerts....and I find that my ears find the mixing they are doing at live events....is comparable to my (and your) "V" equalizer profile.
