I would have opted to build a delivery and service center with my limited resources instead of this place. But Maybe this is why I'm not running a multibillion dollar company.
Still I'll bet the preorder holders near Venice would rather have their trucks than a cool place to hang out while they wait for their trucks. One last comment... so are we still thinking they are too busy to get that mech. thing going so I can get a branded hoodie?

Was there a separate communication for local folks that was for a specific event?

Yes I received an invite to the event. There was an option to sign up for a 3 hour timeslot on Friday or Saturday October 15 or 16.
