That is all fine and dandy if it weren't for the courtesy wipe we all get now and then :)
Disable auto wipers.
I've had my windscreen film on for 2.5 years and I don't get the 'courtesy' wipe so long as I don't leave them on auto.

Pro Tip:

For those in the 4 seasons weather areas, DO NOT use ICE scrapers. It will end your relationship with the windshield protection film.

Windshield film generally last about 12-14 months regardless. If you drive on a highway especially west of Central time zone. It is a good investment (many rocks and highway bits).

My personal experience here (again, I have not YET used the TWRAPs screen film; I've been using a STEK product for the past ~2.5 years that's actually been discontinued)

I live in PA where we get snow, ice, etc. All the weather.

Ice DOES NOT stick to the windscreen with these protectors. They're very hydrophobic. Worst case, if you have such a buildup you can't push it off, you just run the defroster long enough for the ice to start to melt and then you're simply pushing it off. Most of the time, I literally just had to use my windshield wipers and the slurry came right off. EZPZ.

And even right now, where my Windscreen PPF is in dire need of being replaced, I just have to clean it relatively will and apply RainX, and it sheds water easily.

I have been considering adding a film on my R1S windshield, but I assumed it would go on the inside like most tint products, never considered the outside. (I obviously haven’t been in the market long).

Have you noticed any issues with the film being over the cameras? I use Highway Assist a lot on my commute to/from work, so I worry about anything that will make that work differently.

Looking forward to seeing an R1T nano-ceramic window kit that includes the rear window also.

Both of these products exist and I have used both. They serve different purposes. The outside film is for protection from rocks and sand. The inside film is just like regular Window Tint to reject heat. I love my inside film, but removed the outside one because it was terrible.

Quick question - did you ceramic coat it? And if yes do you re-apply regularly (at what interval?)?

I am getting a R1T next Saturday, for a full wrap (so I can develop the template) and I will catch up on R1T products then :) /tints, sunroof etc/

I want the roof film immediately. Make me your first order!

Is there any film that is mirrored? Seems like it would reject the most heat.

I might be able to do that actually...if you can snap a photo of the R1T sunroof and give me a measurement on edge to edge on the driver or passenger side, I suspect it's the same as the R1S film just shorter (or even maybe 100% the same just without the 2nd smaller film that goes on the 3rd row). If you are up for it please DM me a photo and some measurements and I will compare to the R1S and see if it's safe or not to release it without the vehicle.

I'm in my garage as I'm reading this, so here you go:

I'm measuring (imperial) 3 ft 9+5/8 in or ~3.8 ft length

I had mine installed professionally, and I do believe my detailer used Gyeon Ceramic Coat on the entire truck, including the windows. It has not been reapplied.
