Hello everyone!

I’m looking for a recommendation for an after market bed extender for my R1T since Rivian doesn’t seem to offer them. Anyone have experience with one? Any specific product recommendations? Any to be avoided?

cheers!

Have had the EV Sportline for about a year and works well. I did notice my bolts getting loose after use so make sure you tighten every now and then to prevent the rails from moving.

I'm just using the bed extender from my old pickup, tied down to the bed and gate with a few soft shackles. (No bed hardware modifications.) Works just fine.

@JM. how do you like the Ready Ramp? I have the EV Sportline extender but actually wanted it for hauling bikes. Which is tough to attach. What makes you say Ready Ramo isn’t as quick/easy?

I recently bought a spare but forgot(?) with the EV Sportline the spare tire cover doesn’t fully open when in 45” mode. I have EV Sportline Tonneau cover so I can go 49” wide.

Edit: How does it attach? Does it prevent tailgate slap?

Might be looking to offload the EV Sportline Bed Extender, d’oh.

The non-ramp bed extenders often have an easy clip-in arrangement and can flip over from extender to being inside the bed. And in that position they form a cargo area. These flip instantly. The ramp has to be clipped in with straps to adjust and fiddle with. So if you need a ramp get it, if you just need an extender, don't get the ramp. They have a video on the site showing how to install it. I have no idea what tailgate slap is, I assume you mean bouncing when there's no motorcycle/load holding it down? I've never done that. It's either loaded, or closed.

Yep, I ended up putting some epoxy on where the rails meet the vertical bars. Belt and suspenders!

@JM. Do you have the ReadyRamp installed on an R1T?

The only video I see are for domestic trucks with latching straps. Their site doesn’t list Rivian as compatible.

What specifically are you using to connect ReadyRamp to your R1T?
Did it ship with something that works or did you DIY something?

It's the medium size (or mid-size truck) version using the provided hardware. It was fiddly to set up, and I don't have pics or anything. But it's fine once you get it set up.
