Seems this deal may vary based on your Cap One offers. Worth checking your account to see if you can replicate.
I've been looking to replace my OEM Pirelli 20" tires before this winter hits. The noise they make and lack of snow traction has me moving to the Toyo ATIII EVs in the same size as OEM (SL version). I've been looking for a deal all summer, and just found one that makes the tires 45% off normal price. So, instead of paying the standard $410 that every online shop is charging, I ended up paying $225/tire. Saved about $750 off a set of 4, all-in.
Anyway - if you have an Amex and any Capital One account (Savings/Checking/Credit Card) - you should be able to replicate this deal. This applies to ALL TIRES - not just the Toyos. You can get the OEMs at 45% off if that's what your preference is.
Hoping some forum members will benefit from this.
There are currently two stackable offers to get 45% off at TireAgent.com. I read reviews, and they looked legit. My tires already just shipped so hopefully all is good. Will confirm once I've received them.
AMEX Discount - If you have a gold or platinum card, you should be familiar with Amex offers. Log into your Amex App - go to offers - and you should be able to add a 15% Tire Agent discount to your account. There is no maximum discount. Screenshots below. I received my 15% account credit within 1 day of placing my order. Account Credit was $269 (15% refund applied to sales tax as well).
Capital One Discount - If you have any Capital One account, you can access "Capital One Offers". Basically it's the same as Rakuten or other cash back sites. They are currently running a special of 30% rebate on Tire Agent purchase, no maximum. To access, go to capitaloneoffers.com and log in to your account. Then click through the Tire Agent promo to activate the 30% rebate. If you have the credit card, you can choose that account and receive 49,000 miles instead of the cash back. Great deal if you're a miles/points junky. If not, then the Capital One Offers cash back is $492!! You do not need to pay with a Capital One card to redeem the offer. This is how you are able to stack the two bonuses. (Note - Capital One Offers is DIFFERENT than Capital One Rewards. Use offers, not rewards). Also, make sure you don't add any coupons when you checkout or it will void the cash back offer.
Okay, so between the Amex account credit of $269, and the Cap One cash back of $492, I saved $761 on my purchase of 4 tires. Not bad, right?
So in the end, I paid $880+tax (on most of the $1600) for my tires. Hopefully this helps anyone that is searching for tires, even if you only have access to one of the offers. If the tires you want have an additional mail-in rebate, this would not affect that and you could save another $100.
I'm not putting any direct links so that nobody thinks I'm getting referral money or have any other ulterior motives
Happy hunting.
