I‘m glad to see another adventure ready EV, but I don’t know who this is for. Whether it’s necessary or not Americans believe they need at least 300 miles of range.

I guess it’s still better than the Hilux EV that Toyota just announced with 150 miles range🤷🏼‍♂️

To me, the problem isn’t 250 mi of range. It’s $65k starting for 250 mi range AND Jeep/Stellantis’ track record on EVs and software integration. Once reviews are out I think you will see similarities to reviews on the Charger and Wagoneer. I don’t think legacy auto can move fast enough to correct mistakes on those and avoid repeating. They’d rather kick the can down to the next gen.

Cool EV and Jeep! Haven't seen the charging speed mentioned yet, 250 miles of range....but what's the charge curve look like? It's only 400v architecture like Rivian, correct?

250 miles range for 65K? Just like the Grand Wagoneer I rented to take a road trip today, I don't understand why these things cost this much and have so little value.
Jeep seems to have decided that they are an upmarket brand. I blame Stellantis for this entirely, for effectively putting a saddle on the Jeep name.

It's sad that a storied brand has come to this.

You can get a Wagoneer S these days for $40k down from $70k. I am sure this will follow suit. This is another DOA vehicle from Stellantis.

$65k to start and 250 mi range. This will be yet another EV Stellantis kills and claim "consumers don't want our EVs".
Not even with a large battery option. It's like the STLA designers just have no clue how to do this.

This is what exactly what this feels like. Self-sabotaging to spread the anti-EV sentiment amongst its base.

I remember watching the reveal yesterday ready to dislike it, but aesthetically, I think they did a good job and was ready to praise Jeep for finally releasing a decent EV. All excitement left the building at CCS, 400V architecture, 230 miles of range and $65k starting price. This would have been ok in 2020. It's downright insulting in 2025. What a joke and clear indicator that they released this with zero intention of moving their fleet any closer to electrification.

Marketing: "You want an electric Jeep? Have this POS then."

I think its less they have no clue and more like they don't want to. A vehicle with these specs in 2025 is very much designed to fail. Look no further than the $65k price tag. At $40k, it could have been a conversation. At $65k, they don't even want anyone thinking about an R2 or Scout considering this thing. This seems specifically priced not to be competitive. Incentives and discounts later aside, the $65k is what most people will see and it will turn a lot of buyers off...and I think that's the point.

As a long-term jeep owner this is insulting. Bring back the 1998 Cherokee as an EV…oh wait that is the R2

It appears the tires are not low rolling resistance tires. I wonder if it could be a 300 mile truck with more efficient tires?

Adding 75% of the 100.5kWh battery in 28 minutes implies an average charge speed of ~160kW in that 5%-80% range. It seems roughly inline with the market.

Very late to the game. They've been teasing this for too long. I remember trying to get more details on this 4 years ago when I was deciding if I wanted to wait for an ev jeep or bronco. Happy with my R1t.
Why so long from Introduction to release when other companies have already blazed the way?

But it has Apple Car Play capability!! )) I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee for over 30 years and it was very capable off road. No issue there but 250 miles range to start with and weather, load and driving conditions taking it down more???
