Nice! Is this your first experience with the Comma? What are your thoughts?Just installed the Comma 4 in my R1T, initial drive went great.
That's correct! Or instead of the fuse tap you can use the "comma power" that's also included. That uses your OBDII port to provide power. To be clear - were I to order a Comma 4, I will get ALL the items seen in these attached pix. I’m assuming, with these harness items, power would come from the AXM. If I choose to bypass the AXM, I would also need to get a suitable fuse tap, but that would be it.

Yes, this is my first experience. I was holding out hope for basic lane centering on the Gen 1s. When the 4 was announced, I ordered one immediately.Nice! Is this your first experience with the Comma? What are your thoughts?

Forgive my ignorance - haven't seen this in the 20+ pages I've read so far and couldn't find anything searching... why not? Also, don't use the wifi hotspot in the truck.
Sorry! That's old advice! At the time Openpilot was forcing metered cellular connections and it was treating the Rivian wifi hotspot as a cellular connection. That issue has since been resolved.Forgive my ignorance - haven't seen this in the 20+ pages I've read so far and couldn't find anything searching... why not?
Pics? How close to the rear view mirror?Just installed the Comma 4 in my R1T, initial drive went great.
can I get a pic? Curious how high you were able to install and how obstructed your line of sight is with the new smaller C4Yes, this is my first experience. I was holding out hope for basic lane centering on the Gen 1s. When the 4 was announced, I ordered one immediately.
First test drive on the 78 in North San Diego county this morning and I am very impressed. There are 2-3 spots along there that Driver+ will try to kill you, but Comma was perfect. Auto lane change with a steering wheel nudge was flawless.
Highly recommend for any Gen 1s. It will be great on longer roadtrips. It has 0.10.2 as the current version.
The steering torque on side streets will be nice if it gets cracked, but highway is awesome.
Hopefully these help, it isn’t much larger than my previous dash cam.Pics? How close to the rear view mirror?

From the pics it looks like you could definitely get that an inch or so higher if you wanted.Hopefully these help, it isn’t much larger than my previous dash cam.
I think it could be a little bit higher, tried to align the cabin camera for a good view.
It's not hard at all. Installing the upgrade itself takes 5 minutes max. The part that takes the longest is routing the secondary USB cable up through the A pillar. If I decide I want the longitudinal control later, how much of a pain is it to install Luka's upgraded harness from the default Comma one?
Great thanks! I watched quite a few of your videos and they were very helpful. I'm pretty sure I will be buying a Comma 4 in the near future. I'm ready for some help on my long commute which I appear stuck with for another 6-8 years, and I won't be switching to a newer Rivian until they've proven L4 works on the Gen3 (or whatever HW!)It's not hard at all. I feel the same way! Maybe I'll upgrade to a used Gen 3 R1T quad one day, but that won't be anytime soon!Great thanks! I watched quite a few of your videos and they were very helpful.
