As much as I like the look of the Scout vehicle, heck I love it, I believe it is a dead technology that by the time it arrives will already be absolute.

Absolutely, I’m not disagreeing with their EV efforts. I’m only referring to their harvester (generator) development.

The Traveler is 190". The rest is the rear spare tire if you choose one.

While I have a reservation and like the way these look, and the pure EV 350 miles might be a contender for me, I am kind of with RJ at this point: at least one of the vehicles in our house must have true eyes off autonomy at least on the freeway. Everything else is out of date. And Scout is proudly anti-autonomy.

I really like this approach. For city driving 190" would be a nice improvement on the R1S length. (Too bad the Scout will be just as wide as R1S if I understand right.) Then put a spare on the back for adventuring.

Wider with the mirrors out, I think - 91.6" for the Traveler.... but I can't find the same number for the R1S/R1T...

Surprised they let her rattle through the brochure material like she did. Part of the charm of that channel is the organic shop-talk of cars. Not to say that promo-speak doesn't have a place, just not there.

That said: they had me at front bench seat.

I remember my Grandpap’s truck having a bench seat when I was a kid. I thought they stopped putting those in the front for safety reasons. I think they’re cool.

Yea, I watch that channel quite often. I didn't finish this episode because of the "brochure" style vibes it was giving off. Oh well.

I hope competition breeds innovation, and always thought Scout had a cool aesthetic, but I will believe it when I can test drive one…
