Yep, got it, thanks. When I did a tour in 2023 there was nothing about the previous history. It was a good tour but focused solely on Rivian which makes sense.

Fits pretty well with Wassym's comments about June launch and using those 1600 employees for April and May to get more hours in the car to shake out bugs.I ended up talking to my Rivian employee neighbor a few days ago regarding the R2. Rivian is initially allowing 1600 employees to take advantage of getting their R2 at the release of the vehicle. He was not one of the 1600 employees selected. He did say that any employee that gets one agrees to giving weekly updates to Rivian as part of the test vehicle program. With R1's release, the employees who got the first vehicles were getting a $1000 stipend per month(before taxes) that could be used to offset the cost of the vehicle, but he is not sure if that will be part of the R2 employee purchase agreement. As of right now, they are just trying to log as many hours of driving as possible on the R2, with all their test vehicles being driving around the clock.
