This Model 3 looks so small compared to the R1S and the R2.

I would be interested knowing the efficiency of the R2 vs. the M3.

Why compare R2 with M3? I know photos are for it, but it's not a useful comparison. MY is the equivalent.

I think the objective - met - was to compare it to recognizable high volume EV’s.. M3 was the highest volume EV before the Y came out, and Ionic 5 as well.

That R1S looks like a Ford EXCURSION compared to either of them though. Biggie mo’ mo’

Love it!

And I still love the Ioniq 5, I wasn't sure if the sort of kitschy, 80s-esque retro design would get old too quick, but in the sea of lumpy EV designs, it's great!

Side note: I saw the ID.4 is getting cancelled in a few months, the factory space changing to produce the '27 Atlas :(

And since you were clearly asking me to show you ours, why here you are!

It will look even better snuggled up with our eventual R2 Premium, the ultimate mid-priced mid-trim power couple. Move over Brangelina! (Oh wait, what's that?....)

Oddly enough, we were firmly set on an ID4 in early '22 before (i) production delays made their waitlist impossibly long, and (ii) this baby fortuitously landed on a neighbor island. Early owners on the ID4 forum routinely trashed the I5, claiming everyone would get tired of its trendy look within a stupendously short period.

I was, I was just too bashful to ask ...

Love it (absolutely amazing photo).

Sounds like a killer mix. If/when we get the R2, it will replace the Wrangler 4xe, and then we'll still have the iX, but the latter might get replaced with something for the daughter, and a HI5 seems like a great choice.

(As long as I can get the N flavor for some weekend track nonsense :D )

I think they are just stopping production in the US, but it will still be available for sale here... Just imported from the factory in Europe.

I was considering the Cx or Drag coefficient.
I fact the M3 and MY have basically the same CX.

I was wondering about the R2 Drag coefficient?
MY will for sure have a better Cd number. However, we cannot really compare the numbers from different manufacturers. Kind of like, how Tesla EPA estimate is different from BMW for instance. They are on the other ends of accuracy spectrum. Cd numbers are even more unreliable. Don't take my word, look it up.

I recall one manufacturer (Honda?) saying that they don't quote numbers because they are not standardized.

Do you still have special license plates for EVs in Hawaii ?
Yes, at least on O'ahu, but they've conferred no benefits whatsoever for many years now AFAIK. We got ours from Big Island (FBI, as the tshirts say) and it was registered by the dealer there with normal plates for whatever reason.
