R2 - GVWR weight rating estimates?

I think the bigger issue is on cars with over 6k GVWR does it impact systems and cost. Example below 6k you can use 4 piston brake over you have to use 6 pistons. Then this would increase the brake buster pump size. Interesting to see how this applies. This is an example and I don't know if these have rules.

Hmmmm. Had a X5 50e that was over 6K lbs - pretty sure 4 piston brakes....

The GVWR for all versions of the R1 were/are conveniently a few pounds over the 8500 pound threshold for the American Automobile Labeling Act. So, Rivian didn't/doesn't have to disclose the percent U.S./Canadian content of R1 vehicles on the Monroney label (window sticker).

The NHTSA website for the Labeling Act doesn't list any Rivians as of today. I'm anxious to see a window sticker for R2 (when deliveries to employees begin?).

Based on recent EPA filings, the 2027 Rivian R2 has a reported Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of approximately 6,173 lbs. This rating positions it above the 6,000 lbs threshold often required for certain business tax deductions, such as Section 179.
