Hey All, next weekend I'll be heading to the Tigerton OHV off-road park on Sunday. May 5th. They have dirt trails for ATVs / dirt bikes, and regular off road trails. There are vehicle size and weight restrictions per their website, but I called ahead and they said it's cool, not too heavy or too large for their trails. They mentioned there are some tight turns on the trails. Last time I went off-road, I made some 3pt, 5pt, even 7pt turns and all was well. (Im in an R1T, id imagine an R1S wouldn't have such a problem with its shorter wheelbase) If anyone else is free and wants to get muddy, come on by!

Please report back on your findings. I'd like to do that sometime.

Sounds like a blast. You running the Rivian off-road gear? Do you also have a snatch strap?
Rivifan

Whelp. The park was beautiful. We made camp just before the rain came, then decided to head out once it cleared. so it pretty wet out there. It was cool seeing the dirt bikes flyin in the air and all. And the main trail - The Outer Loop- was great. Toughest part about it was on the straightaways, not putting it in Rally Mode and smashing down the accelerator. It was their Level 1 trail. So easy in fact that I got cocky. My inner idiot wanted to come out and play, so i decided to take it on a level 3 trail, the Sunday Drive (sounded innocent enough)
So... yeah. I got 'er stuck. All was going great for a while on that trail, it was handling puddles, climbs, drops, logs, went over a rough rock patch or two, all with no problems at all. and then about 3/4 the way through the trail i saw this turn and drop and thought no way i can make that if i dont know how deep that puddle is, plus it's too steep of a drop, I'll tear up the rear bumper. Tried to turn around and that was my downfall. So my guys went out looking for help as I stayed with Gandy (trucks name) They found this group on ATVs / side-by-sides who, upon asking them for help replied, "Fuck yeah! we specialize in gettin shit un-stuck!".
And boy did they. Trail Angels. They showed up all confident they'd get me out. (which was a great morale boost) Clearly not their first rodeo as they worked as a team with two winches at different angles, (so glad the front tow hooks held) and telling me when to gas and where to steer and slowly but surely climbed back up and out, and on my merry way. Whole process once they started probably took half hour, maybe an hour. I took some video while they were working, ill have to see if any of that turned out ok.
And just as they had me pretty much out, the trail rescue Jeep guy showed up, we all had a laugh at that.
They came over to our campsite for some beers that night, and when I told them how heavy the truck is, they were kinda surprised the winches held...
Would have been a different experience w/out them.

And in my defense, was chatting with the rescue guy later that day, he couldn't make it up the part I got stuck going down. Said they need to rethink the level 3 grade on that one.

So overall I highly recommend it, Outer Loop Trail is no problem, and I think there were a couple level 2 trails in there, that, if the conditions are drier, could probably be handled by those with some skill and bravery.

But it was the most expensive charge I've ever paid for. $50 per night for a campsite with power. And of course it was a 15amp or 30amp option, not 50amp, so I used the super slow low voltage version. Oh well, learning experience. Still got a few points of juice each night. Ill be searching for a proper adapter to keep around for future reference.

I'm going there next month based on your review.

Great to hear! Let us know how it goes. (Especially if you brave anything wilder than the outer loop trail :) )
