Hi Everyone I’m getting ready to buy a Rivian. So many battery choices. Any recommendations?

It is a balance between cost, range desired and tire requirements.
If you want to do big road trips go for at least Large with 21 wheels, otherwise save money with a smaller battery.

It’s encouraging! I want the suv. I bet the same deals will include suvs soon.

Agree with @Cascadian that it really depends on the types of trips you take. I do weekend trips from Seattle up to Whidbey Island so I choose a range that would allow me to avoid charging for an up and back with some local driving without range anxiety. With that in mind, did Dual motor R1S with 20” all terrain tires.

Also consider your charging situation. I have charging at home and at work so it’s pretty easy to keep it in the 50-70 percent state of charge throughout the week.

Sounds good. We drive to San Diego during the winter, so I’ve been wondering what to order. I should plan on the average trip instead of focusing so much on a cross country. We have level 2 charging at home for our other car.

San Diego in winter sounds like a dream. Good luck on making your configuration decision. Welcome
