Anyone drive from Phx/Scottsdale up to Fossil Creek yet? Given the 17 miles of tough road I want to take the Riv but being new to EV and no chargers near Camp Verde I'm a little nervous. Especially since we all know 1 accident on the 17 and you could be sitting in the 17 parking lot for an hour or 2.

My daughter did it last month in the R1T on the AS tires. Said it was a piece of cake. They were up there for hours. No issues. I don't remember if she stopped at the EA chargers in New River on her way up or down, but it was a one charge stop trip.
They also stopped at Rock Springs on the way home, but failed to bring home a pie!!!

No pie: That's a major fail! - Good to know that the AS tires were adequate for this road, as I have the 21's on my truck.

BTW, there's an EA station in Anthem at the Walmart (of course). New River is home to the Tesla SuperCharger. Nearest CCS charging to Camp Verde is the new RAN in Sedona (Village of Oak Creek).

I have not tried it but would like to check it out. We went over four peaks with the 21s, no issue at all.

Among the great benefits of an EV is the high efficiency when traveling slowly, and the fact that it doesn't use all that much energy while stuck in traffic, even while running the A/C.

Trip to fossil creek was easy and successful! There and back without having to stop to charge and took the bumpy gravel road like a champ.
