  1. Manitoba Rivian Owners?

We just cracked our windshield and learned that the closest repair center would be Calgary. Not sure what we would do if it was a catastrophic failure needing immediate replacement. Not sure what your plans are for repair in Winnipeg. Seems untenable.
  2. Cost to replace cracked R1T roof glass - $2209

I went with AAA comprehensive insurance, cost about $1,600 a year, with a $300 no fault deductible. Had a massive the main roof glass, plus windshield damage, and claimed both for a total bill of $5000. Love AAA.
  3. R1S stopped charging with DC fast chargers

Same thing happened to me using an A2Z adapter but I diagnosed it as a dropped pin on the NACS side. A2Z honored the one year warranty and sent me a replacement with no questions asked. I figured it was an adapter problem when I failed to charge on a level 2 Tesla charger.
  4. dropping middle row madness.

Ironically, 4 generations back my ancestors were in a Ukrainian trench, although they didn't get a chance to fight back. Just shot and dropped in a trench.
  5. dropping middle row madness.

Every one of those SUV you listed didn't cost $160,000 and have software to solve the problems. Perhaps you should have higher standards ;-)
  6. dropping middle row madness.

I'm wondering if anyone else finds it maddeningly frustrating that they have to go to each front door to access the seat controls on both sides of the front row in order to drop the middle row seats flush for loading from the back. I've posted a solution request on the wish list but there are...
  7. Manitoba Rivian Owners?

The distant service center will be your biggest Achilles heel. I've already had two services under warranty and for me it's a short drive. However if you do pursue the truck I do recommend used as the federal government until 2027 is waving GST an electric vehicles with more than 6,000 km on...
  8. Tesla high-speed stopped working

No they're both locations have been to before and they've worked fine. I've been able to see 212 KW Peak charge times at both locations. No ironically I think it's actually a pin that is been pushed back in the adapter. I was able to use a level 2 Tesla and narrowed it down to an adapter error.
  9. Tesla high-speed stopped working

Last two times I've stopped at a Tesla supercharger the charging won't start. Just got off the phone with rivian and no luck. Using an A to Z gen 1 adapter that's never had problems. Anyone else having this issue? Started to happen about 3 weeks ago
  10. Exponentially Loud Volume

When playing music on Spotify I notice that the volume difference from 1 to 3 is exponentially loud. As in, there is no low volume setting, just quiet and then freaking loud. I've noticed this in other Gen 1 R1S and R1T. Is this common?
  11. Manitoba Rivian Owners?

Have you secured one of the third-party CCS to NACS charging adapters? We got the A2Z Gen 1 on the way across, received in Winnipeg, and used it on the return trip. Telsa charging infrastructure is BY FAR superior to the other stuff. It was a profound change in perspective going from "will it...
  12. Manitoba Rivian Owners?

We are likely one of those BC plated R1S. I grew up on the NE perimeter and we have driven from Vancouver to LOTW annually for more than 20-years. This year was the first we drove an electric from BC and we were shocked and dismayed by the lack of charging infrastructure in SK, MB, and NW ON...
  13. North Vancouver Kal Tire Review

I was there buying just those tires. Is there a model-specific setting in the tire calibration software? I could only find a generic option for a 20" snow tire.
  14. North Vancouver Kal Tire Review

Nightmare dealing with Kal Tire at 1830 Marine Drive. First day they called an hour into the appointment to say they couldn't find the jack pucks. Second day took 3 hours and (a) tires not filled to spec psi, (b) 4 different stem caps, and (c) not calibrated to new aftermarket tires. WTF, man...
  15. forget cracked windshields, who has cracked their front bumper camera?
