  1. Any Audi drivers out here?

All fair points. Also on the tire front, your Q7 should have come with a compressor and a can of German Fix-a-Flat. It works surprisingly well as a temp solution. I used mine once, drove home and back to the tire shop the next day with it. Makes a mess for teh tire guys, but it works in a...
  2. Any Audi drivers out here?

It's not the driving aids I miss from my Audi. It's the build quality and components. Even when I traded it away at 136k miles the suspension didn't rattle and clank like my R1T. The interior was still just as solid as the day I bought it. Drove the Rivian last night for the first time in a few...
  3. What Are You Hauling (or Hauled) in your Rivian? 🦾

Guess I forgot to put this one in this thread. Less than exciting Tuesday afternoon so I'll contribute something instead of just complaining. Drove like this from Louisville, KY to Buffalo, NY. No appreciable change to efficiency, but didn't ride great. Became very "floaty" at speed.
  4. Any Audi drivers out here?

Audis decades of automotive building lead to significantly better quality components and build quality.
  5. Any Audi drivers out here?

I will miss the software when I leave this truck behind. Zero arguments there. It is much nicer than my Q7 as well.
  6. Any dual motor folks out there?

#4 should be standard. This thing was clearly built by people that don't use trucks as trucks very often. I agree, I would pay $5k for #1 and #3 right out of the gate!
  7. Any dual motor folks out there?

Agreed. Similar pricing to an aftermarket ECU upgrade in a myriad of other vehicles. I put a $1,500 engine/transmission tune on my Q7 and didn't get quite the same HP/Tq bump as the performance upgrade from Rivian. $5k is too much for a software upgrade. I have a dual motor non-performance...
  8. Any Audi drivers out here?

I traded my '17 Q7 for a '24 R1T. One of the worst trades I've ever made. Q7 was a flood damage vehicle and wasn't in the shop as often as my Rivian. Overall component and build quality was miles ahead on the Audi. Squeaks/rattles/noises were non-existent in the Audi, I have crap stuffed in...
  9. Indianapolis to Maine road trip (via Philly and Boston) - 2200 miles

Whereabouts in upstate and which way are you coming through? There are a couple "holes" in the map, but I've not found it to be an issue with a large pack and 2.0mi/kWh average. Most of the major interstates are covered decently, so if you're just passing through it shouldn't be too bad.
  10. Android music apps that 'play nice' with Rivian infotainment

Is the comma 4 the thing on the windshield? What does the carplay screen over the main screen do? Like, what functionality does it provide that either the phone or the main stack doesnt? Not judging, just curious. That's too much/many screens for me, but I can see how they are kind of not in...
  11. Android music apps that 'play nice' with Rivian infotainment

Definitely a preference thing. Am I reading this right, you have (2) additional screens in the truck beyond the (2) it comes with? Safe to assume a phone mount as well? That feels busy in my mental image of what that would look like. Can you share a picture? I've always been a "less is more"...
  12. Interior Color Question for any Rivian Owners

I'm 21mo in and there is noticeable "dirt" on our Ocean Coast interior. Noticeable areas on the arm rests from sunscreened arms (we boat a lot in the summer). Drivers seat is noticeably "blued" from wearing denim all the time (my go to pants material during the week). It clean relatively easy...
  13. Indianapolis to Maine road trip (via Philly and Boston) - 2200 miles

I can agree with most of this. All of my problems are not EV related, they're all Rivian related. Drove my wifes 8yr old (almost 100k mile) Nissan Rogue into work the other day. It had a better ride, didn't sound like a broken hay wagon, the sunroof opened, and I had zero issues with the key...
  14. Indianapolis to Maine road trip (via Philly and Boston) - 2200 miles

I've used several of the chargers along I-90 in New York. The "Applegreen" center chargers are quite nice and seem to work well. Wish they were included in the in-dash nav though.
  15. Indianapolis to Maine road trip (via Philly and Boston) - 2200 miles

This sums up my experience with Rivian in two sentences. You have to WANT to own one of these, it doesn't make itself easy to own. 100% agree. I might buy another, but it's not because I think it's a stellar product, it's because I lack compelling alternatives. Tough place for a brand to be...
