  1. Rear Brakes "Seizing" when parked over 4hrs

I have the same annoyance. It usually happens to me after driving in moisture and sitting for long period as you mentioned. Mine often sounds much worse than yours...almost like a low caliber gunshot. Sometimes I get a nice double-tap when they release at slightly different times. Service...
  2. Electric Providers In Texas

I'm using Reliant free nights plan so I can charge in the wee hours at no cost, but I have solar panels to offset the rather high daytime rate. The Gexa plan is fairly enticing, assuming you don't have (or plan to have) solar.
  3. Wet Floor Board - Again

Yeah, I use the Houston SC. Seems like the truck stays parked for a minimum of 1 week before they even look at it. But I'm glad they have the on site rental car option now. It was a nightmare dealing with their roundabout Enterprise rental arrangement. Houston SC is very familiar with the HVAC...
  4. Wet Floor Board - Again

I've had it happen twice. First time bricked my truck and SC replaced entire HVAC unit. The second time I caught it early because of the smell and felt the wet carpet. SC replaced the bottom portion of the HVAC unit I think. I wasn't really paying attention to the tech. I do like having new...
  5. R1T Rear Bumper by Rago Fabrication install & review

Man @Josh.Gonzales96, that looks legit. I've also had some departure angle shenanigans that caused some harness damage in the rear bumper. It only cost me $250 to replace a reverse light assembly, but I have to live with the scuffed up bumper. I think it would be worth the cost if I could...
  6. New Valentine wiring connection

Hey @jn bot , could you provide the link for that magnetic mount? As for tapping into the harness...are you able to get at the wires behind the connector? Maybe you can use these mini Posi-Tap splicers if there is enough room. A picture of the stuff under the cover might be helpful.
  7. Bed Sheets for Yakima/Rivian 3 Person Tent

I did preliminary search for sheets that would fit my RTT and decided that the specialty sets were way too expensive. My cheaper solution was a flat sheet with corner holders to keep things tight. - Flat Twin XL sheet: https://a.co/d/2rKtUso - Sheet Suspenders: https://a.co/d/7EHEagK It is...
  8. HVAC GUI problems and suggestions

Yeah, I have similar issues. My wife loves to fiddle with the HVAC controls because the auto setting isn't reading her mind. Then she complains that she can't figure out the touch controls. If only they could slap some code in there to deal with spouses... Seriously though...I have all the...
  9. R1T swallowed by a Rivian EDV?

    Rivian force field upgrade...nice!
  10. Would there be any issues keeping Ride Height at "Low" full time, while in AP

This ^^^ I have also noticed that riding in AP High reduces the suspension rattle. But my shorty wife absolutely loves the running boards, so I can run whichever height I please.
  11. Building a new house - what would you ensure was part of the plan?

You probably will have it covered when solar/batteries go in, but maybe need to think about bidirectional charging setup. Vehicles as additional battery backup or as main backup.
  12. R1S Scared of the Dark?

This feature is definitely on my Gen1. It is also selectable in camping mode.
  13. Electrical Hazard Possible warning

Well, I just had that drain valve replacement at a SC appointment last month. Apparently, it is a new thing they are doing. The new HVAC unit they put in mine still had the old valve design. I would think OP needs the new HVAC unit and the new valve.
  14. Electrical Hazard Possible warning

This exact thing happened to me last summer. It escalated over a matter of hours to the point that I had a bricked truck and required a SC tow. Mine was the HVAC issue. The techs knew exactly what it was before they even got it off of the tow truck. The subsequently replaced the entire HVAC...
