  1. Flat Tire on a 7,000+ lb EV: What’s Your Plan and Tools?

Hello, Intersting discussion. Has anyone used the "patch" cylinder to be used with the little air compressor that comes with the truck to supposedly patch the tire well enough to get to a repair shop? I have leased my truck. I'm not excited to have to buy a spare tire, jack etc. Thanks
  2. Proximity locking is annoying

Yes you are correct. However we decided we would rather lock and unlock ourselves.
  3. Proximity locking is annoying

I have an R1S, gen 2. I had to turn proximity locking/unlocking off. Our garage is close to our house. The car would lock and unlock while we were in the house. Drove us crazy.
  4. Will R1 Cargo Crossbars fit R2

Yes they fit. I used my son-in-law’s R1T Gen 1 bars on my Gen 2 R1S.
  5. Tesla Superchargers in Hines, OR

I like your idea except for the charging issues. We lived in Portland for 35 years and had a house in Sunriver before moving to Boulder, so we are quite familiar with Oregon. First road trip in an EV. Thanks
  6. Tesla Superchargers in Hines, OR

Thank you. The trip planning app in the car was ignoring sites that required an adapter. I had to add an option in plug share to show Tesla Superchargers. Thanks again.
  7. Tesla Superchargers in Hines, OR

Whoops I posted the same thing twice. My apologies.
  8. Tesla Superchargers in Hines, OR

We are planning a road trip from Boulder, CO to Bend, OR. PlugShare , ABRP and Rivan apps do NOT show Tesla Superchargers in Hines, OR, but Tesla says they are all available to everyone with the NACS adapter. I'm concerned that no other app lists the chargers. Has anyone on these forums...
  9. Help! Need basic charging station guidance!

I don't know if I am using the appropriate thread. I must be an idiot as I don't see a way to start a new topic. Anyway, I taking a road trip(new R1S as of 5/17/25) from Boulder, Colorado to Bend, Oregon. I can't seem to get clear information about the chargers in the Burns/Hines, Oregon...
  10. Help! Need basic charging station guidance!

Wow! Thanks for all the advice. I'm taking delivery of an R1S later this month. I was told one voids the Rivian warranty if something goes wrong with a non-Rivian NACS adapter. The one recommended here is much cheaper. Advice? Thoughts? Akubra91
  11. R2 Reservation List Tracker + Stats 📊

I just submitted my name to this list for the second time. My first submission never appeared.
  12. Well that sucks! Rivian insurance doubles in 1 year

I have not received my R1S yet. Due Oct-Dec. Safeco quoted me a rate using a generic VIN Rivian sent me at $2156.20 for the year. We are retired, excellent driving record and credit scores etc. living in Boulder, Colorado. Rates seem to be all over the place.
  13. Colorado 5280 RIVIAN owners and wannabes

Hello, I'm new to this group. I hope I am not asking something that has already been answered. I live in Boulder, where I've seen many Rivians. I'm scheduled for delivery the 4th quarter. I am not clear on the sales tax rate when purchasing an R1S. Looks like is around 9%, is that correct...
  14. R1S heated rear seats

I could not find this discussion. I had a test drive today in an R1S Launch Edition. It had heated middle seats and vents for the 2 rear seats in the window pillars. It was my understanding that Rivian had done away with the heated middle 3 seats as well as the rear vents. The guy at the...
