This literally just started happening to me. Did you ever figure out why? For me it also happens to be occurring now right after I did my seasonal change to my all terrain tires, and right when I installed a comma4 device. So I'm trying to narrow down the cause.

Weird indeed. I'll try the hard reboot. I'm just hoping I didn't knock a wire or connection lose when installing the harness that is causing slightly more resistance with the steering. I was very careful though

What's the disco reboot? Because even when the comma4 is unplugged, the harness is still installed. So I was wondering if there is something about that wiring that could be causing a minor interference. I hope not cause it's a pain to redo the plug into the AXM.

I recently installed my comma4 and I am having a subtle issue. When the comma4 is not activated (or even unplugged from the usb-c entirely), my steering wheel feels "sticky", like it gets stuck in certain positions, and not smooth like it was before. It only requires slight effort to move it...

I wonder where I'm at... my 2023 R1T has been averaging 2.61 mi/kWh with the 275/60r20 Michelin Defender LTX M/S2. and I have all terrain tires for the summer (285/65) that still average about 2.45 mi/kWh.

Idk if I see it as a liabilty, as much as I see it as a tradeoff. You can't get 14.9 inches of ground clearance without adapative air suspension. if the ride height was permanently that high it would not handle well, put too much stress on certain components, and be dangerous at highway speed...

the thinnest section is the same on both the old and new ones... However after doing some more research, the first point of failure is usually at the threads. So knowing this, I can see how the new ones are still stronger.

Adding a data point. My R1T was built in May 2023, and I confirmed it has the older M14 tie rods. What's confusing to me, is that the newer ones don't look any beefier... The thinnest point is just as thin which is where I would assume it would fail.
