the first drives of the EX60 P10 are up. It does 0-60 in about 4s flat. I bet the P12 will do it in a brisk 3.5s and with 400 miles of range with a CATL battery, its pretty impressive.
Agree. There is a large difference between mid 4s car and mid 3s car in 0-60. I know as my Kia EV6 does it in mid 4s and my Tesla in standard mode does it in mid 3s. Its a much bigger difference in feel when you get to the high 2s range (My Tesla in Insane mode).
I'm hoping they release a...
Well one spec is available which is the LE. The other specs are also priced out so easy to compare right. The R2 definitely carries a premium over the Model Y (which is expected). I just wish they had a placeholder for the tri-motor :D
Actually, this pricing is not in-line with Tesla at all. Launch edition Model Y (Juniper) came with all options for free. Currently, the Model Y Performance at $57.5k comes with free paint.
The ex60 doesn't really do offroad unless you get the Cross Country version. Also, the R2 LE has equivalent performance to the P12 without the range. I bet the P12 is much much more expensive though.
Its not all dependent on the chemistry and hoping Rivian made their's better than Teslas. I know R1s have had pretty good capacity retention...maybe they eat into buffer but it gives consumers peace of mind.
On EPA reports, Rivian is switching to NCA batteries for the R2. I wouldn't be surprised if the degradation (range) is similar to Tesla given the chemistry switch.
I've driven multiple EVs and have an EV6. I agree that overall, Tesla makes owning an EV easy and brainless. Its the easiest EV to live with but I can see why some would get bored. However, my Teslas have been the most reliable cars i've owned and I've had many Toyotas and Lexus. Hard to...
I agree but if they don't want performance, most likely will be comparing a $48-50k version of the R2 vs. the $65k version of the BMW. If I want the crazy performance, I'll look at a R2 at ~$60-80k vs. ~$100k iX3M version probably. That is all i'm saying...BMW will always be more expensive...
