  1. Any shot at R2 delivery by July?

I am in a similar boat, wondering whether I will be lucky enough to snag a Launch Edition early enough to go on a couple of big road trips this summer (ironically, both through Boise from Seattle). I was a mid-March 2022 R1T Launch owner and reserved within the first 24 hours for the R2. I am...
  2. R2 Charge Port Location is Moving to Driver's Side Rear (on Production Model)! - Confirms Rivian VP

We have reservations for the R2, but really hope to defer to the R3X. When we saw the R2 in Seattle a few months ago I was surprised at how much I liked it and we are now thinking of keeping that reservation (despite also seeing the R3X and liking it as much as I thought I would). You might...
  3. Road Trip from Illinois to California has begun.

On my recent roadtrip to Spokane, I found the Driver+ feature to be fantastic. I am *not* a fan of technological-driving features, but really started to appreciate the semi-autonomous driving functionality. It did a great job for me (mostly)... there was one spot on I90 where the road lines were...
  4. Road Trip from Illinois to California has begun.

Beat the Spokane team 4-3, had a pool party in Yakima that night, and then got absolutely pummeled 0-6 the next day (today). Our team hasn't quite figured out set-piece play on either side of the ball - while, the other team has figured that out. Regardless, the Yakima premier futbol team (CWS)...
  5. Road Trip from Illinois to California has begun.

I've charged at numerous Walmarts and have found them all to be excellent and reliable. There is usually somewhere nearby to get lunch as well -- my son had a soccer game nearby and we grabbed a Subway sandwich before his game while charging.
  6. Road Trip from Illinois to California has begun.

Enjoy your trip! Watch out for windy conditions. Like many vehicles, this 7k pound brick is severely affected by strong headwinds. I drove to Spokane WA yesterday from Ellensburg (middle of WA). Started with 265 miles of estimated range, and got to the Walmart in Spokane with 70 miles of range...
  7. Ask us Rivian R1T owners ANYTHING [AMA]!

Yeah... agree. My driveway and garage require a little 'finess' with the accelerator. I haven't put the R1T through the back of my garage wall just yet, but there are times where I wish that taking my foot off of the brake would allow me to gently nudge forward (or backward).
  8. Ask us Rivian R1T owners ANYTHING [AMA]!

Sorry -- yeah, probably buried elsewhere! On the second delivery attempt, the delivery team drove up to my house with a truck that was technically mine based on the VIN -- but was El Cap instead of Launch Green. They went back to the service center and scrambled to figure out what happened. I...
  9. Ask us Rivian R1T owners ANYTHING [AMA]!

Nope... they didn't have any locally that matched my specs - so they had to poach one from an SC in California. Not sure of what downstream impact that might have had, but I imagine it will get fixed quickly. I will say that I heard my mishap did create a wave back at the factory and it was a...
  10. First Song You'll Play In Your New Rivian?

As I took my first drive in my R1T yesterday, this thread came back to me... as I never really had a solid answer to the question of first song. Ever since I saw him perform his live streamed tribute to Nirvana, every now and again I get a hankering for Post Malone. As I drove out of my...
  11. Ask us Rivian R1T owners ANYTHING [AMA]!

Finally, third time's the charm for delivery! Got it delivered by the Bellevue Service Manager yesterday - she is fantastic. First impressions/experiences: -- truck is awesome, fit and finish are perfect inside and out -- back seat space is a little less than I remembered, on par with my old...
  12. Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

I will say, they have been hot on it both here locally and in Illinois and I appreciate their attention. Sounds like human error somewhere along the chain. They’ve already identified another vehicle and are working to get it ready for a weekend delivery. Being one of the batch of first Guinea...
  13. Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

Hey man… sorry if I do! Short of prying up the VIN plates and swapping them, bumping another LG seems inevitable. I can’t imagine how this happened… about a week ago, I was able to get an employee I know to confirm that the VIN was LG.
  14. Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

That thought literally went through my head… probably would have been easier than fixing my financing and insurance and purchase agreement that are all tied to that number. I can only imagine what is going on at the Bellevue Service Center right now….
  15. Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

Yup... purchase agreement was accurate. In fact, they looked it up and saw immediately that there was a problem. This will be interesting...
