Unfortunately, nobody read this article, as the power grid (ironically) was down in much of Western Washington due to a windstorm. There were about 600,000 people without power, (myself included) and maybe 300,000 out still today.
Anyways, really good article, and I completely agree with all...
Site prep/earthwork is one of the highest cost elements in construction. Moving dirt around is very expensive, and it is very safe to assume that Rivian has a buttload of money already invested there. They'll button it up right now, but they will be able to move fairly quickly once it is...
This post pains me a lot to write, but...
I got my R1S reservation in December '21, and was told then to expect a 2nd half - 23 delivery. Then the next iteration of delivery schedules come out in October (I believe), and it slips to first half of '24. Then, last months delivery schedule...
In Maui this week for some February sun time. Took the road to Hana, and on the way back, lo and behold, an R1T launch edition goes driving by.
Boy, I hope he doesn’t need service…
I've had my R1S reservation for a little over a year now, and would really like to take my wife to see it and test drive either it or an R1T. I live about 10 miles from the Bellevue WA SC. So I contacted CS and asked how I can get a test drive, and they came back to me with the old canned...

Just a thought...
So, How did the new Snow Mode work, and, More importantly...
How is Heavenly? I've gotta believe that with all the snow they are having it's incredible there now.
Agreed. It's almost too dangerous to go out and walk today, let alone drive. Just a brutal Ice day. I am making 15 gallons of beer (Mack and Jacks clone, a great amber Pale Ale) so all is well.
Is anyone worried about how these rolling updates are going to go when Rivian really starts to deliver vehicles? As of now they have about 15-16,000 vehicles out (R1T+R1s) and these updates are taking several days. What will happen when they have several hundred thousand to millions of...
This is one of my key items for my R1S as to whether I take it or not, and what wheels to get. Staying home is not an option (Can't do that and Ski) and I really don't want to have two sets of tires and wheels. So this (along with insurance) is a major concern.
(Are you listening, Rivian?)
