Just FYI to all, these do appear to be in stock now with Rivian. I am fulfilling all orders I currently have for it this week and should have more in stock ready to ship later this week/early next week.
In my testing it is a 20W charging pad. I did not test two phones simultaneously to see if it could do 40W combined. This is 20W before losses though. I would expect more like 15W into the phone. I kind of prefer this to higher power ratings due to heat. If I need to charge faster than that I...
It seems Rivian already got more stock of the chargers if anyone was waiting. They’ve shipped me 4/6 that I’ve ordered already. Not sure when more will ship but their September estimate was very long luckily.
Edit: Right after I posted this I checked my email and they shipped the last 2 units...
I missed this question. I did not hook up the CAN lines to it so there's no communication with the vehicle to that function. I don't even think it'll necessarily consume any additional power. The charger works great with only power and ground hooked up. I have a lot of experience with Ford...
Personally I don't like my phone mounted on the dash and don't do it in any of my vehicles. It either stays in my pocket or goes on the charger. This is a convenience thing for me over using a cable which is what I have done until I installed this. Really not a requirement, just nice to have and...
I got on a deep dive and decided to try to make the Qi2 charger work In a gen 1. I had hoped the only barricade would be the plug being wrong and it was. I have designed many wiring harnesses as part of my business so I thought I may as well try to do it for this. It is very simple. Rivian has...
Reading this is crazy to me. I have had nothing but good things to say about the Hazelwood service center. The only bad thing that happened was after my first apt ever they damaged my a pillar speaker grilles but they fixed that with a mobile service appointment.
Good luck to you man!
Got mine on. Happy with it! I put Pirelli scorpion ATR on-road all terrains. I wanted minimal road noise and maximum range for an all terrain plus I don't go off road at all basically. They were also late 2021 production on clearance for $650 for the set of 4. Couldn't pass it up! We'll see how...
Convection plays a huge factor. If you are driving 70mph with a head wind of 20mph you have 90mph worth of air going across the car. I drove in -4ÂşF the other day and found that when I was driving into the wind the cabin got a little cold for comfort, but when I drove the other direction with...
