A Lightning is fine, but Ford skipped what Tesla and Rivian have done - built software defined vehicles and changed the buying experience/dealer model. Lower battery costs won’t make an electric Ford competitive without modernizing the rest of the vehicle and experience.

This says more about the compromises Ford made to rush the F-150 Lightning to market than it does about the viability of electric pickups.

If you don’t mind, what did that setup cost? I’m interested, but need lots of storage capacity and the high cost of batteries makes V2H seem like a good solution.

Tesla charges $8000 for FSD. RIvian is at $2500. Prices are falling, hardware ready vehicle counts are growing and adoption will too.
