  1. Apocalypse Nirvana Rivian R1T ?

Psychological projection is a defense mechanism people subconsciously employ in order to cope with difficult feelings or emotions.
  2. Affordable AT tire option: OE take offs from new Silverado/Sierra 2500 and 3500

The original 20" all terrains on my R1T lasted ~31k miles. I was looking at smaller all season tires for cost and range savings, but after a quick craigslist search found a set of nearly new 275/65r20 Goodyear Wrangler TrailRunners that were taken off a new Silverado 2500. A fair deal at $400...
  3. MotorTrend trip charging strategy comparison

Realistically I think it begins to break down if you're using level 2 charging, especially as you dip below 11kW; e.g. when the last leg of your mileage for one day of a multi day trip ends at a hotel with a 6kW charger. Otherwise, as DCFC and EV efficiency improves it will practically never be...
  4. MotorTrend trip charging strategy comparison

I've done a lot of thinking and testing on this subject. 31,000 miles currently on my R1T with about half of that being long distance interstate trips. TL;DR the faster you drive, the faster your trip goes. The article is uselessly theoretical. In the real world we can't choose to stop and...

    Carolina’s Rivian Club

Hello from Asheville. 14 months and 25K miles with my R1T and loving it. The events section is looking barren. We should do something about that!
  7. Let's Ride the Dragon

Interested in joining the trip. If starting from Gatlinburg, consider taking the recently opened and unpaved Parson Branch Rd to get to US 129. That's the beauty of our trucks - fun on and off pavement! Also, it would be criminal to not include a drive along some of the other roads around...
  8. Green on Green on Blue 183 Mile Road Trip & Pure Driving Bliss on Blue Ridge Parkway, NC

Hadn't seen that one. Thanks for the link and starting the thread! There's a ton of fun driving in that area.
  9. Green on Green on Blue 183 Mile Road Trip & Pure Driving Bliss on Blue Ridge Parkway, NC

Yes I do. Did some off pavement scouting today out past Fines Creek.
  10. Green on Green on Blue 183 Mile Road Trip & Pure Driving Bliss on Blue Ridge Parkway, NC

Someone should organize a Blue Ridge Parkway and forest road drive in Western NC. It's a common area for multi day car meets and there are many interesting places to ride and visit.
